I think I have at least eight or even ten wanna be U-Boat designs, so it seemed high time to get the real thing. This was a while ago, but I'm slowly getting to posting my buys, as I FINALLY wind down the purchasing side, with only a few projected buys remaining. Yes, yes, I know, I've said that before, so my habit ceasing claims are rather worthless!
This was part of my effort to focus more on grailish buys, but, we all know how that goes, and, no, this was not a collection ending purchase at the time, but more an effort to forego the little fish sometimes and get a bigger one. I've ceased thinking in terms of something "better" because honestly I love my ultra affordables as much as less affordables, and I still haven't spent anywhere near the "big brand" price points anyway, but I continue to find gems like this for around a grand or so, give or take.
Now that I've been on IG for a while, well, wow, some breathtaking watches on there, and congrats to those who can afford an AP as easily as I would buy an Invicta, but, just not my realm, so I remain content with graily buys within reach.
And, this is a brand I've long wanted, and, specifically, this model -- and I will say it feels very worth it.
I found it particularly amusing, the typos in their marketing inclusion (so much for perfection of the details!), and I in fact contacted U-Boat, just to verify I didn't get some kind of knock off after reading the card on the right there, but, yes, they confirmed my purchase was genuine, and thanked me for pointing out the errors. Just goes to show we're all human, and even the bigger brands make mistakes.
The purchase was definitely no mistake, however, and it's a solid addition to my madhouse of watches.
Ha, another brand that puts its name on the case side. Invicta haters would be floored, ahahaha!
It's a very industrial build, yet somehow retains a measure of elegance. I love it!
Excellent lume, thanks to the sandwich dial and just sits perfect on the wrist.
A great pick up!
Thanks for watching!
