They can play around all they like. If they send another one and it gets stolen Amazon is out the money, not us. FedEx was here today and I received an email and text the package was delivered. I waited to see if it was scanned before making the delivery and sure enough they knocked like 15 minutes later.

My UPS guy literally has a shitty job. He was telling me how they have a contract with Cologuard. If they don't follow the instructions correctly there is leakage!

I get the joy of picking up test samples directly from customers who leave them to be picked up in their mailboxes. Direct from their toilet to my mailbag. Only hope they wash their hands well. Just a little heads up about fed-ex currently. They are running a little behind so packages that are supposed to be delivered by USPS is being delivered by Fed-ex and it has no Fed-ex scan bar on the packages only USPS scan codes. Frustrating to me because they are mis-delivering a number of them on my route each day and since the only scan on them is for USPS the customers are blaming us for the mistakes. They also are just leaving them out in front of Apartment buildings because they don't have a key to get into buildings. So they sit not in the mail room or the apartment renters front doors just sit out in front of Apartment buildings. Nothing can go wrong there. Of course with only USPS scans on them it looks like were the ones leaving them there. We have enough people of our own making mistakes we sure don't need another company doing it for us. Yesterday I had to put two in apartment buildings even though we don't have to fix others f-ups. Had UPS package left in the wrong apartment building(at least they put them inside). I went to the right building and informed the customer where their package was. Had a package delivered by Fed-ex delivered to a vacant house, luckily for the person it was one of the ones with only a USPS scan code so I was allowed to pick it up and forward it to the customer otherwise it was just going to sit there until someone helped themselves. Seen the Fed-ex guy drop it and I tried to flag him down but like us at USPS they are in a rush and he just took off not knowing what he'd done. This stuff happens everyday on my route. I have two customers who live next to each other who get tons of packages each from all the delivery systems. At least once a week I have to inform one of the customers that their package is next door because I check every package left by any delivery system hoping that if a mistake is made I can inform customers where their stuff is. I can't move it myself but I can either knock on the door or leave a note. I actually got in trouble when I was having a route inspection that my inspector told me I was wasting time because I was informing a customer of a Fed-EX mistake. They said it was a great thing to do and makes us look like we care but that I was in fact using time not authorized to do so. I do it all the time anyways. Then there are the people who have Amazon accounts then move and forget to change their address to the new address on their accounts. It gets delivered by Fed Ex or UPS as they have no way of knowing these people have moved. Those I can't fix as they are gone and since there is no postal scan or postage we can't touch it. All the systems have serious flaws, rushed workers, or some not so great workers, humans that make mistakes because they are humans. The drones are getting ready to fly though like I said so I can't wait to see how that works. Thought I'd offer some real life experience from someone who does this stuff for a living. My wife does it as well and she like me does the same type of stuff as I do each day.

Kudos to both you and the misses going above and beyond. As far as inspector budget goes, you know what those guys can go do! Typical supervisor BS. On your slowest day you are probably more productive than the white shirt hypocrites. You can do 99 things correct that helps to efficiently get your job done and they will still nitpick. They tend to ride the backs of the good workers and the slackers do whatever they like unimpeded.
