Inspired by the brave. Engineered by the best
Named after the Royal Marines’ Commando Training Centre at Lympstone in Devon, the feature-packed C60 Lympstone brings together elite Swiss watchmaking with a build quality that ensures it can survive the harshest of conditions. At sea. Or on land.
Take the ultra-tough, ultra-light forged carbon dial. Made from chopped carbon fibres infused with resin (there are around 500,000 fibres per square inch), forged carbon has a uniquely unfinished look, with the dark and light greys contrasting beautifully. Around the dial is a first for Christopher Ward: a rotating inner-compass bezel which lets you orientate yourself using the sun.
Surrounding the dial is a brushed ceramic bezel, its numerals deep-filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 GL C1 – a sign that the C60 Lympstone is not just a watch, but a professional diving instrument. And with water-resistance to 600m, you can be sure it won’t let you down – no matter how far you descend.
Turn the watch over and you’ll see the insignia of the Royal Marines laser-engraved into the caseback. Only when the Ministry of Defence had approved every element of the watch were we able to feature it.
When you’re dealing with split-seconds that can mean life or death, accuracy really is everything. That’s why the C60 Lympstone is powered by a COSC-certified version of the Sellita SW200 calibre, putting it in the top six percent of Swiss movements for accuracy.

Sellita SW200 Automatic Chronometer
Designed for those who demand the highest standards of timekeeping, this Swiss-made automatic movement has been officially designated as a ‘chronometer’ by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres.
This means it has a certified timing tolerance of just -4/+6 seconds per day in a variety of temperatures and positions, putting it in the top six percent of Swiss-made watches for accuracy.
The movement boasts a 4Hz frequency (equating to a smooth eight ticks per second) and a 38-hour power reserve. It also has an in-built anti-shock system to maintain accuracy when faced with any sudden jolts.
What the press say about the C60 Lympstone
Oracle Time
“The latest in Christopher Ward’s Ministry of Defence approved range takes things in a new, more modern direction, inspired by the rugged requirements of the Royal Marines.”
Mondorologio Blog
“This is one of the best tool watches out there.”
Oracle Time
“Christopher Ward has recently been dominating the conversation when it comes to military watches. Just look at this modern and stealthy
C60 Lympstone.”
Find your way
The C60 Lympstone is the first Christopher Ward watch to carry an inner-compass bezel. You can orientate yourself by using it in conjunction with the sun.
Wear it well
The C60 Lympstone has the soul – and practicality – of a diving watch. Its outer bezel delivers a satisfying 120 clicks per circuit. So, when you mark your starting point with the pointer, you know it’ll stay in place.
Hard look story
The watch boasts a dial made of forged carbon – an ultra-tough, mouldable material made from chopped carbon fibres and resin. It gives the dial a marbled, near-camouflage look.
Light fantastic
The C60 Lympstone indexes, hands and bezel are filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 GL C1, which delivers clarity in low light. Its potency is increased by exposing it to sunlight or artificial light, increasing the energy of its electrons.
Official approval
Only when it had approved every part of the watch, did the Ministry of Defence allow the Marines’ official insignia to be laser-engraved into the caseback of the watch.
Complete control
The marine-grade steel case has two crowns, one for rotating the compass, the other for winding the watch and moving the hands. Its gunmetal PVD coating ensures reflections – dangerous in combat – are kept to a minimum.
