GRUPPO GAMMA PEACEMAKER

Are you a discerning collector looking for a timepiece that's not only versatile for everyday use, but would also help unravel the untold history of early dive watches? If so, the Peacemaker is right up your alley.
First introduced in 2017, the Peacemaker was in fact an early design conceived back in 2014 to replace the Genesis, our first line of watches. Owing to unexpected events we never managed to put that design to production at the time.
The Peacemaker is more than a passing nod to history. It exudes a strong retro vibe, its design heavily inspired by cushion-shaped dive watches worn by Italian frogmen from the '30s to '50s. It's primarily offered with our signature dial design - one that was based on an elusive prototype from the '50s, that we've modernised and put to production for the first time in 2014. In other variants, the historic California dial was also revived but with a twist, by way of a 'Semi-Cali' dial in military stencil typeface.
Our signature caseback flange adorns the Peacemaker's posterior, making it a truly unique piece in your collection. The use of premium materials extends to the Italian leather straps as well, although being a very versatile "strap-eater" the Peacemaker is likely to feed your strap addiction.
The timepieces are powered by mechanical movements from ETA, the largest Swiss movement manufacturer in the world. Access to ETA movements by independent brands is very limited if at all possible, but we're able to acquire these movements in small quantities and back it up with strong technical expertise.

got my "private" offer in my in-box ... I like this watch contractor from CITY-STATE OF SINGAPORE ( singapore a former ENGLISH COLONY think SINGAPORE SLING AT THE RAFFLES HOTEL peeps speak ENGLISH but are HAN CHINESE so speak MANDARIN and can EASILY NAVIGATE THE WATCH FACTORIES IN THE PEOPLES REPUBLIC AND GEOGRAPHICALLY "RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER " ) ...VENTURO FIELD WATCH a smash IMHO...the voices have been giving me a pass lately... I do like THE UNITAS... jmho old radium not for me but they must be selling well OLD RADIUM or they wouldn't keep using it... I prefer old skool mint C3 but that's JMHO...and like GMAN66 sez opinions are like butt holes every body got 'em

so taking a pass ...I do wonder how it would fare in a DEKLA CAGE MATCH 1 man robotic watch show by YURI...one of USCLASSIC's contestants in his 70th WATCH HUNT GLOBAL SAFARI

i like these...for me they are a little "magnum" on the L2L 52mm if i recall

Many stories have happened in the past. Not all of them were told.
Of those that were, some were told differently.
We all know about the 12-3-6-9 dial layout that was used in the watches worn by Italian frogmen in the 1930s to 40s.
Interestingly, in the 1950/60s a prototype dial design was conceived, that would enable easier timekeeping by the minute. For some reason this design was never put to production.
Gruppo Gamma has since embraced this design, and that was back in 2014. The legacy models were sold out since a long time ago but we've now featured it in our latest Peacemaker series.
Also during that period in the past, design tweaks - mostly to the lugs - have been experimented with. Similarly, none of those made it to production.
Gruppo Gamma has revisited one of the historic experimental designs and, with the Mk II Peacemaker, reimagined it into a 43mm case with 24mm lug width and a slimmer, edgier profile.

I was thinking of ordering the gunmetal. :hmm: I was wondering why they are offering the two versions with and without a sweep hand. They both are using the ETA 2824-2.

These are pretty nice.
i was pondering the differences on the offerings...

u know when u look in your box and every thin u buy looks similar ?

i bought mostly this movement last year the UNITAS

- the watch gods keep favoring old radium...me ...my eyes prefer C3 or X1 in a whiter shade of pale...JMHO 3 HONDO UP FRONT...take 6 up the back jack

The only difference is the movement. That one should be less, not $300.00 more. I used the same place to price both movements and the ETA 2824-2 is $70.00 more.

carted the unitas 9-eater...yawn... " you are getting sleepy " let's see if HAL shoots me a code from the LAND OF NOD... GRUPO GAMMA algo does that to me... my code on VENTURO was so steep they made me promise to take it to the grave...

wonder if PAUL M. is gonna plink... looks like working man's SLY PAM " swiss movement " at the 6

-another singapore micro...practically walk to the hong kong territory factories... same language and culture no barriers HAN chinese speaking Mandarin...never got disappointed from SINGAPORE...GNOMEN-DOD-TMD-ZELOS-GRUPO GAMMA /VENTURO

an authoritarian "city-state" spitting gum or tagging gets you caned with a wet cane splits the skin on perps back

-all the money in asia is flooding in to this city-state...home of RAFFLES BAR-SINGAPORE SLING... former british colony

I don't like the $300 cost difference, especially because it is the model that I like. :foot: Of course if I want it, I'll have to play the Singapore sling.

It wasn't on ice, but I once knew a nympho who enjoyed a sizzly sod-soaker under the bleachers. I made sure none of my swimmers ever had a chance to make it to the fallopian tubes of that one.
