Well the guy is working MUCH MUCH faster than I thought he would. The thing is almost done. I have to say im blown away by how it is looking so far. The spikes are looking much nicer than I thought they would. Killer dome. I'm super excited now. I'm thinking of strap options. I am leaning toward the one below. I also was thinking of a black canvas. I have the buckle below on the way. Please give me your thoughts on those. Also he want's to do a custom engraving complimentary on the case back so we are kicking ideas around. I'll drop the maker in the next thread probably but I bet many of you have already figured it out. Thanks for the ideas and for looking:):):) Enjoy the pics.

Loving it! Can't wait to see the finished product. A nice thick leather would be my choice for the strap. I think the size and weight would overwhelm your average nylon unless it was beefy too.

I have an Invicta on a hybrid leather-backed nylon strap. Maybe something like that would work if you're in love with the nylon look.

Very cool Brad and I like the buckle...personally I would go beefy leather for a piece like yours...watches and accesories are a very personal choice...I'm sure you will get it just the way you want...

:smiles:

Very intriguing... Love the buckle and I'm thinking you will need a heavy duty strap for that monster. Can't wait to see the end result, strap and all!

Looks like the same guy but he’s almost double the price on Etsy than on eBay

Usually the stuff on Etsy is cheaper compared to the Bay. I picked up several of these in various sizes for very cheap. The guy sent me extra parts and a few tools for putting them together. Some of the screws were torx heads and others flat.

@sota0003;

Considering your buckle choice is somewhat PAM specific, maybe something like this could be nice...definitely goes with the design of your watch I think...:hmm:

I don't see spikes when I look at those dial markers. Paired with the bezel they remind me of bullets.

That is awesome man! Quite the chunk of steel on the wrist. Looking forward to the finished product.

They are a bit "pointy" for bullets...and Brad called them spikes so I guess that's what he's going for...I assume they are fixed to the inside of the bezel and the bezel is fixed? The dial and the handset are going to the most interesting reveal I think...Hmmm?

Incredible! Redefines "beefy" for sure, and in the best way! :eyes:

Looks like it could take out a Terminator, haha! Eagerly await the final product.

I rather like that stitched scars "Franken-strap" design. Certainly an aggressive leather look would compliment such a heavy duty watch, although I agree, a nylon look can also lend a tone of functional strength.

Very cool project all around, being so involved in the creation of something so unique.

:hat::hat::hat:

Yea i saw those and considered them hard. Not sure I want a $50 buckle but then again it's a nice watch so why skimp.....decisions decisions....

Yea I could see rifle rounds in there. I just called them spikes for ease of words. I didn't want a "spike watch" necessarily just was a cool look. I say we can call them "spiky rifle round watchy thingies" lol

Yea that's what I was kind of thinking.The dial will be a flashlight dial so I think the white stitching will tie it together....hopefully
