OK so as you all know the saga I won't bore you with a rehash. So I decided to take a run at fixing some of the issues as best I could after Bon told me he would give me a generous refund and send me a nice ammo strap. First I popped out that plantar wart disguised as a lume pip. It ended up being just layer on layer of lume paint. Great idea but poor execution. I get it though if the car crash affected his eyes. It's like that girl across the bar...looks great until you get up close and the lights come up. So I taped off the drilled hole with tint straps going around and around. Unfortunately the drilled hole has a marr above it so it was not perfectly round as shown in the lume shot. I can live with it. After 5-6 layers I let it cure for a day. It was a tad high so with the tape still on I scraped a bit with an Xacto. After it got flush I took the tape off and grabbed to 800 grit sandpaper. I took a small cut piece and lightly hit the high spots until they were just about flush. Then a took the small piece and did start to finish motions from 1-4 counter-clockwise so there we no breaks in the motion. I didn't count how many times I had to do it to get most of the scratches out. I got them all out but one fine one that was pretty deep. I could have got it out but liked where the finish was at so figured I better stop while I was ahead. Overall I really like how it turned out. The pip could be better but the machining was subpar so I put as much makeup on that troll as possible so at least it's dateable. Overall a nice ending to a messed up situation. I love the watch and get a good refund for a one of a kind piece. I hone some skills for future use. Bon gets to keep some well needed cash to fix his face. So here we are folks. Thanks for the advice, the bent ear and the kind words
