On this episode we take a look at a watch with a lot of potential from an unexpected manufacturer. Yes, this 40mm, automatic, vintage Rolex Submariner inspired diver is from... Invicta! Even more surprising, it's actually pretty good for the money. There's a screw-down crown for a confident 200m of water resistance and even a display caseback showcasing its Seiko powered movement, they even threw on some high polished bevels for good measure. Heck, it even has a nice even 20mm lug width, meaning a swap to a vintage Tropic-style rubber, fabric NATO, or even distressed leather strap will quickly have the '1953' feeling like a great daily mechanical beater. Let me know what you think in the comments below, thanks guys!

For all the ins and outs of the Invicta reviews I have always maintained that Invicta does simple and moderate prices pieces better than many if not most. This one is a perfect example. Tried and true design where less is more. Don't get me wrong I like far out and funky watches....as you all know by my collection...but one like this are hard to beat for the price and quality regardless of the QC we all know and love

For a few bucks more you can buy this one. It has a sapphire crystal and a lumed ceramic bezel. I see companies trump Invicta and other brands all day long with sapphire and ceramic + using the same movements.

Not bad is how I would describe it as well. Pro-diver type autos for the price are everywhere so no harm no foul and I've had decent luck with Invicta auto pro-divers as a good enough and reliable enough work watch at a decent price. Nothing to over hype or completely dislike for the money spent. Can do better, can do worse.

The problem I have is when brands like Aragon and Invicta try to act like they are giving something away. Even Seiko doesn't use that selling point. They own the fact that they use Hardlex , questionable quality bracelets and sometimes iffy quality control. They don't use spin tactics trying to gain sales regardless of price, take it or leave it. I can't think of any other brand that I post a video of that somehow the word hate always seems to creep into the discussion.

not a bad watch I've surely had my share of em. it is no longer the watch of choice. but the price aint bad. I agree with others in saying spend a bit more, get a better built more reliable piece

I almost bought a house from a builder that told us exactly what the prices were for everything and his take. Was he honest? Yes I believe so. My point? Just sell your product, make your money and don't play games. I'll still buy if i like it even if you acknowledge shortcomings
