WATCH CHRONICLER

In today's episode of Watch Chronicler Podcast, I explore whether affordable Swiss watches are going to cease to exist. After an article on Time and Tide Watches, this podcast considers the facts, figures and changes which may direct the future of watches in Switzerland.

Thanks for posting this one up, Mike.:hat:

Hasn't this been on the table since the invention of the quartz movement and then rehashed when the apple watch came out??

yeah but...drill down to the stats... 30 million sold 2018 20 million sold 2019...

this commentator predicts swiss phase-out on quartz ...especially below $200 ( japanese dominate the quartz segment and continually improve ) fashion watches sell surprisingly well ... and even $500 is a tough price point for swiss quartz

-this author commented on the strongest sector of swiss watches which if memory serves is $2500-$3500 mechanical

so much for predictions... now it's time to go back to the future and see how reality plays out
