Rolex leads the line with two Sea-Dweller models: the 2014-2016 “Sea-Dweller 4000” and the latest 2018-present generation II Deepsea Sea-Dweller D-Blue 126660. The “Sea-Dweller 4000” is a Rolex dive watch in steel that was sparsely purchased and rare; it’s a legitimate investment watch for Rolex buyers. The Deepsea D-Blue realized a significant mechanical and ergonomic redesign in 2018; a longer power reserve and improved wrist fit arrived with the upgraded Rolex “James Cameron” Sea-Dweller.

A Rolex Day-Date in white gold with blue metallic sunburst dial and matching alligator leather strap offers elegance for those with smaller wrists or a taste for dress watches. This Baselworld 2013 release upstages Rolex’s own Cellini dress watch collection without sacrificing the traditional appeal of the rugged “Oyster”-cased Rolex sports watches.

Omega watches are plentiful on today’s show. The Seamaster 300 1957 Trilogy offers a window into the earliest Omega dive watch model of 1957, the CK2913. A modern Seamaster Aqua Terra GMT Chronograph provides impressive functionality for travelers courtesy of a chronograph, GMT function, COSC Swiss chronometer certification, and 150-meter water resistance. The 2003 Omega Constellation Double Eagle offers an integrated-bracelet stainless steel sports watch for men; this watch was ahead of its time! Finally, the legendary full-ceramic Speedmaster Moonwatch Dark Side of The Moon provides a strap-clad counterpoint to the full-bracelet Omega sports watches.

The legendary Blancpain Fifty Fathoms dive watch impresses with its historic reputation as the first modern-format dive watch, launched in 1953. This 45mm stainless steel diving watch includes an impressive 5-day power reserve, 300-meter water resistance, sapphire-capped unidirectional dive bezel, and a sailcloth strap fixed to the case with hex screws.

Independent watch brands shine thanks to appearances by F.P. Journe (Montres Journe) and Laurent Ferrier of Geneva, De Bethune of L’Auberson, Ressence of Antwerp and Switzerland, Arnold & Son of La Chaux de Fonds.

While technically “independent” of the luxury groups, it seems like a stretch to include Japanese giant Seiko among the tiny “indies.” All the same, this Seiko Presage limited edition with blue enamel dial rivals the panache of any European brand.

A dynamite line up of top shelf brands! Thanks for posting this up, Mike.:hat:
