In this video I am reviewing the top 3 most wished for Rolex Models for this years Baselworld 2020!

Like every year, predictions for the next Baselworld start, as soon as the last Baselworld ends! Instead of talking about the predictions, I want to do something different on this video - I am doing a hands-on review of the top 3 most wished for Rolex Baselworld 2020 models :)

1) Rolex Submariner, full steel, blue dial and bezel
In a perfect world, Rolex would release a steel smurf in 2020, a full steel blue dial and blue bezel submariner on an oyster bracelet!
Like its two brothers the Hulk and the black date sub, the steel smurf would be presented in the standard 40mm submariner case. The unidirectional bezel would come in the beautiful, rich blue color we know from the whitegold version. In order to fit in with the rest of the submariner line, the smurf would also get the blue colored dial – but maybe without the matte color but instead with a sunburst we already know from the blusey, the two-tone submariner with the blue bezel, to make it better distinguishable from the whitegold version.

Inside we would not find the old 3135 calibre but the improved COSC certified 3235 that they already released within the Datejust 41 and the Yachtmaster 42, with a 70 hour power reserve.
To complete the smurf, we would find a robust oyster bracelet attached to it. No polished parts, just pure brushed 904L steel goodness! To top it all of we got the brushed oyster clasp with its glidelock.

2) Rolex GMT Master II, red and black bezel with black dial
Even though many have been speculating about a return of the Black GMT on a jubilee bracelet, there’s also been a lot of rumours going around, that Rolex would finally make a different kind of GMT Master 2 happen, a sort of reedition of the 126710: The Rolex GMT Master II ‘coke ‘ to be exact.
Lets see, how the ‘new’ coke would turn out:
First of all, the most noticeable feature on this would be the black and red bezel. As this is a new watch, Rolex would probably use the same ceramic bezel, with the same number layout and proportions as they did on the Pepsi and Batgirl that have been released in 2018 and 2019.
Typical for a GMT the black dial has no sunburst with 18karat whitegold hour markers applied to its surface. They would definitely keep the distinctive Mercedes hands and the bright red GMT hand to mark the second time zone.
Powering this GMT would be the new calibre 3285 which would finally equip the coke with a 70 hour power reserve which would also allow you to quick set the hour forwards or backwards independently of the minute or seconds hands.
The 40mm case would be brushed on the sides and polished on the flanks. To fit in with the two other new GMTs, the Coke case sits on a Rolex 5 link jubilee bracelet with polished middle parts! The cherry on top would be the attached oyster clasp with easylink adjustment to make the size easily adjustable!

3) Rolex Submariner, yellow gold, green bezel and dial
The entire watch would be made from 18 carat yellow gold, with brushed finishing on the top and polished flanks on the side. The 40mm oyster case with its rotatable bezel would keep the iconic look of a classic submariner. The bezel insert is made from virtually scratchproof cerachrom, framing the beautiful green sunburst dial, the yellow gold hour markers and hands.
Inside we’d have the new caliber 3235, same as the steel smurf, with a 70-hour power reserve instead of the 48h within the old calibre 3135.
A little bit different would be the bracelet though, we would still see it on an oyster bracelet, but just like we can see it on the already existing full gold blue and black submariner, the middle link on the bracelet and clasp is polished.
There would also be a glidelock combined with the folding oysterlock safety clasp to make sure that this baby stays in place – all in solid 18 carat yellow gold of course.

What do you think about these watches? Which one of the three do you think is the most likely to be released?

Three very sharp, and impressive, time pieces, from Rolex. Thanks Mike.:hat:
