After seeing one of the latest offerings from Aquatico pop up on LWIG, I decided to take advantage of their $30.00 off Black Friday sale. I went with their Oyster 500 meter diver. I really like my Armida A7, and this watch shares several design elements of the A7. Although the bezel diameter is 44mm, the watch wears more like a 42 due to the 49 mm lug-to-lug distance and the wide chapter ring.
The watch comes on a nice black carbon fiber strap with orange stitching that goes well with the color scheme of the bezel and dial, along with a mesh bracelet. The watch dial and bezel color are advertised at "Midnight Blue" and look nearly black in indoor lighting. In sunlight, the dial is more of a dark sunburst blue. I actually like the plongeur hand style on the Aquatico Oyster better than those of the Armida A7.
The quality and finish on the watch are done really well and the watch is a real bargain, especially with the BF discount.
I am not really into mesh and prefer bracelets, so I now have the watch on a Strapcode hexad oyster 22/20 mm bracelet with ratcheting clasp. The watch is very substantial and weighs in at 212 grams on the bracelet, sized for my 7-inch wrist, yet wears very comfortably.
The real star of this watch is the lume, which is really bright and long lasting, rivaling Armida lume.
On to the pic's! Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking!
