  • [h=3]Description[/h] Discuss the iconic liveries of motorsport, and a few immediately spring to mind: there's Rosso Corsa (or Italian Racing Red), Bleu de France (the Blue of France), and - most appropriately for a brand that designs its watches in England - British Racing Green. It adorns the C3 Grand Tourer with pride, combining with a sunray effect that catches the light beautifully. Its two bi-lateral dials have a black sunray finish; the left hand one comes complete with a speedometer-inspired red section. Lumed Arabic numerals add to the vintage feel, while a Tachymeter around the edge of the dial confirms its automotive roots.

This British Racing Green-adorned edition may serve as a sentimental nod towards an era of motorsport renowned for its death-defying feats of bravery, but its implementation is decidedly modern. CW's signature 'light-catcher' case design is here present and correct, its gracefully contouring shape adorned with two chronograph pushers - piston-shaped, of course. The C3's backplate has also been decorated with the 'twin flag' pattern that so aptly summarises the strength of the brand's Anglo-Swiss partnership.
  • [h=3]Movement[/h] Chosen for the placement of its subdials at 9 and 3 o'clock, the Swiss-made Ronda 5021.D features a 30 minute counter and small second capability, plus add and split functions. Gold-plated on its exterior, its 10 jewels will reduce friction and maintain reliability over extended periods of time.

Another useful feature is its power saving mechanism: the 5021.D has the potential to last up to 54 months from its date of production if the power saving mode is employed. This is achieved by pulling the crown out when the watch is not in use, improving energy consumption by up to 70%.
