FIRST I MUST SAY THE WATCH GODS ARE SMILING UPON ME!!!

So on 8/17 I found this beaut on the bay for a super steal. It arrived in a week or so. Well as I opened it I went to set the time and the dang crown came off. Well %#@&!!!! It was a steal but still some change so I decided I better send it back. I knew the crown just came unscrewed from the stem but didn't want to risk it based on price. The seller was awesome and immediately accepted the return. So on 9/3 I send the watch back. As we all do I keep checking tracking and after a week or so I see that it has not left the states and nothing is updated. I start filing tracking requests through usps and shortly after that file a claim. After about 3 weeks still no updates so usps declares the package lost. I contact ebay and ask for a refund and they agree. I also lobbied hard for my seller to keep his money since he did all he could do. I was pleased that they let him keep his cash. I have been fighting with usps for the past 2 months to recoup the insurance I purchased and this morning I finally reached someone that was able to approve it after 10-15 calls and about 25 hours of being bounced around and "disconnected."
Fast forward a handful of hours and I pull in the driveway and there is a box at the door. I have one coming tomorrow (wait until you see it!!!!! not the Ideapixel one though) so I think maybe it was rocket fast. I grab the box and see my handwriting... WTF??? I thought maybe one I sold got kicked back so I'm pissed. I have my hands full so can't look at it too hard. I put it down on the counter and take a shower and stuff. I walk out to the box and realized what it was. HOLY CRAP!!!! It's the long lost watch. I forgot to keep the box and tossed it in the trash and it got rained on so oh well.... The dang thing looked like it had been ran over by a wheat thresher. It had stamps from China and Thailand on it which would makes sense maybe since it was going back to Australia.
So I take it out and jack with it a little bit and get the crown to reseat on the steam and it is working as it should. I figure I'll leave it alone until something happens again and address it then. It's a little banged up from the last guys use but overall it's is an amazing watch. The Dobra Strap is incredible!!!! Kick arse buckle too. Same model as the ceramic GMT version I have so you guys know the specs and details from the other thread

So I guess you can say I got one...as our resident rodent says.....H-E-double hockey sticks of a deal on this one. I called usps back and told them the watch hand arrived today back to me. They said that the check was already processed and to consider myself extremely lucky and the guy told me to go buy a lottery ticket as well...lmao. It feels dirty but I have done my due diligence so I guess I'll wash up and rock the wrist porn. My Alessandro Staffetta piece should be here tomorrow...yes our very own Alex and hopefully the custom build will be coming shortly after we do a hand job on it. Anyway guys let me know what you think of the story and the watch. Thanks for looking!!!!!

Yes you should by a lottery ticket. The USPS twice sent something of mine WAY OUT of the way. They make your stuff go the scenic route. Love the design of this piece.

I'm thinking about doing a tad bit of a shave from 28mm to 26mm at the lugs and throwing this strap on the Ideapixel "Spike Monster." Thoughts???

28mm is a very unusual strap size and I'm guessing hard to find replacements unless of course you get a custom made strap. If you want more versatility and the ability to do more strap swaps in the future, I personally would do the "shave"...

Very cool watch Brad. All your due diligence paid off well. I think it looks great all around. Congrats and enjoy.
