Hello. Not that this is a banking site or anything, but recently I have been seeing warnings about the site being an "unsecured one" and that log-in info could be subject to "theft". Definitely not an IT wiz by any stretch, but I'm curious what the actual URL of the site is. Always thought that if it was https://.....that it was but if it was http://.....then it wasn't. Is it in fact with an "s"? Is anyone else seeing this when they log in? Just curious. May be way out of left field in asking this, but I figure if you don't ask....you can't learn :grin.
Thanks.

I'm not really worried. Being in the Witness Protection Program the government watches out for me, (I dare you to try and steal my identity ) but that's a good question Ed and I'm out here in left field with ya!

To answer your question, yes the information you enter is on a secure server. I actually just renewed the secure certification on December 2nd and received this confirmation:
"Good news, AutoSSL has successfully renewed the Domain Validated (DV) certificate for “watchintyme.com”. This does not require any further action by you."

The reason you will see the "Not Secure" warning is because some of the content on the forum is not secure. This would be from things like images or videos posted on the site where the image link is not from a "https" site. Because we allow those links from non https sites you get the warning of information not secure.

This is not something just isolated to Wit. You will encounter this on many sites including CW, not just watch forums. Below are screenshots of other watch forums which will show the same thing in the browser.

Sorry Steve. Please feel free to delete this. I only used it as an example.

And so I have been educated. Many thanks to all who replied :).

I always wondered about this so a big tanks for asking Ed and Steve for answering.

Thanks for putting everyone's mind at ease Steve.
Wishing everyone all that's good, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
