I'm not a fan of group watch projects, but putting this up here.

529 Euro equals 654.48 US Dollar

PROJECT "LOGGERHEAD" BY CREPAS WATCHES & DIVER´S WATCHES FACEBOOK GROUP.
“CREPAS WATCHES Company in cooperation with Diver´s Watches Facebook Group, is happy to announce a newly-commissioned project, designed and produced from scratch, exclusively for the members of the Diver’s Watches Facebook Group.
We have been working since August 2017 following the instructions and direct supervision of Andreas S. Gregoriades, the Founder of the Group, and it is a pleasure to inform you that this model is the first one which has been designed from zero for all of you; so this is an important advantage and added value for this project because this model will be produced exclusively for the Diver´s Watches Facebook Group. We, at Crepas/Tactico, are very happy and proud for that. During all these months our work has been hard but we believe the final design is insuperable, really amazing and looks like a vintage diver watch taste.
The name of this project is ‘Loggerhead’ [which is the modern name of the Caretta Caretta turtle] and is inspired from vintage diver’s watches of the 1960´s. The ‘Loggerhead’ will be a limited and numbered edition of 400 pieces featuring five dial color options: orange, yellow, black, blue and luminova. The DW Loggerhead will only be produced for this group and will not be manufactured anymore after that.
The ‘Loggerhead’ will carry the ETA Cal. 2824-2, the most common and tested movement used by the best brands in the market.

Around $655 US. Not terrible pricing I suppose. Like some of the color combo's.

It's a nice looking watch with some cool color choices, but I agree. I'm not too impressed with the price for a pre-order. I can pick Raven models up for less with an ETA 2824. It's still in the same price range. The Tornado kit I picked up last year was nice for the price with finish and quality.

a fan of CREPAS from spain...but a rectangle with curved sides,,,LOGGERHEAD TONNEAU,,, just too big for my saddle

Doesn’t scream anything different to me. I have a few watches with this case design/look. I guess I was expecting something different from Crepas. Not horribly bad for the price but there is more to choose from at this price point.

So this is basically a Doxa homage, no? In that category, I've owned several Irreantum Magellans over the years, which you can find for $350-$550 and get that really nice beads of rice bracelet. The Irreantum, just as a comparison, also has the Eta auto, and the lume is nuclear.

For me also! Like CB Turtle design a lot !!!

The Tornado just didn't live up to my expectations.
I like the look of the watch, but the quality for the price wasn't there for me. The bezel seemed poorly done with too much backwards play. It turns almost freely the first half and then almost locks up and takes effort to turn the bezel the second half.
I wasn't impressed with their CS either. Took 3 emails and a month to get the extras I ordered with the watch when they forgot to ship them with the watch.

kudos TIMECAT...thx 4 the memories IRREANTUM MAGELLAN...goes back to the future in a tool time machine

A very sharp, and attractive offering, with some nice executions. Pricing?:dunno: Thanks Mike.:good::cool2:

Sorry Steve. I feel bad if I enabled you or anyone else to purchase this one. The funny thing is I never checked the backward play until just now. The bezel turns OK forward, but just as you mentioned you can see in the quick video I just shot. The bezel is very sloppy with backward movement, at least one or two clicks in reverse play.:nono:

Thanks for the video on this issue Mike. It helps with understanding, more fully.:hand:

Some nice features, in a familiar package, at a not so special price. Nothing here that would push me to pre-order. I've said before that all the new divers are beginning to look alike, and I guess that's why I stepped outside the diver's box with my last purchase. Thanks for all the info and follow up, Mike.

NTH TROPICS clean- hot-retro- all dial opening no external- elapsed time complication-- bezel-

so with a bezel the sapphire glass is 31mm-

andthewse are 35mm sapphire dial ?

Nothing to feel bad about. This was like no other I have in my collection. I'm glad I added it. I like it and wear it, I was only saying I expected a little better from Crepas.

The only Crepas I ever owned was the L'Ocean--basically an homage to the French ZRC diver. I paid a lot for it and like you, was underwhelmed. I sold it and, lost money. :dizzy:

Mine's he same.
If I'm not mistaken, they actually play-up the sloppiness as being true to the original....
