Well, how many of us drive and exceed the speed limit, until stopped and ticketed, and realize we better follow the law.

Yeah, but how many of us spend time intentionally and deliberately trying to figure out how we can break those laws against speeding and get by with it? For most of us I see that as more of an accidental habit, speeding is easy to do unintentionally at a moment of inattentiveness or pure bad luck, say, getting busted right after we just made a pass. All the while I'm convinced that the BiGI has a team of lawyers that comb laws and text looking for loopholes, however minute they may be, so they can do what they want vs what they should.

Can't see how this comparison correlates.. A company intentionally skirts and absolutely on purpose knowingly sells products as Swiss made to be able to actually defraud people out of their hard earned money is the same as someone speeding. They did it to raise their profile, be able to sell more product with false claims. Could've told the truth all along and probably sold as many units without building a false narrative which they did'n't deserve to promote. For what? To get an unfair advantage using a countries name they did'n't technically have the right to use. Now if I posted on social media or at a website dedicated to law enforcement that I indeed was going to speed everyday and where you can find me each day and be damned if you can catch me, then they catch me, then your point would be apt. That all said enjoy what you buy, know what you are buying truthfully though is better then being intentionally lied to no matter how you cut it. I have tons of Invicta's and I still enjoy them but have always been extremely skeptical of their claims. Which is why I buy low and just enjoy them for what they are not what they claimed to be.

Well since new information has actually came to light involving Invicta the thread is pertinent. Go get some hostages.

I'm not disagreeing with anyone here. I was saying it's like folks who intentionally break the law, get away with it for a while, but eventually get caught. I was using speeding (or even smoking get in the boys room in high school, or sneaking home late after curfew) as an example. Speeders, smokers, curfew breakers, and invicta in this case, knew what they were doing, and likely would have continued....till they got caught.

Right, specifically this in the Swiss Federation's annual report calling out Invicta for labeling watches made in Asia as "Swiss Made":

And I almost get the speeding analogy but it would be more like changing the speed limit signs on a road to 130 km/h and telling the police I thought I was on the Autobahn.

The writing has been on the wall for years, so really no shock . Certain companies know just how to

It's good to know this thread helps brings joy to other forums.
