Newer version is vastly inferior in design. Company really missed the point on this change. You cannot ratchet the clasp while wearing the watch. You must take the watch off of your wrist to expand the size. It might not seem like much of a difference, but wrists swell and contract throughout the day. Also, wearing a large watch sometimes needs a relaxing fit at times. I have an 8000M and just bought a 3000 Slim and was quite disappointed in the new clasp. I even found a replacement version of the older version on Strapcode but it wouldn’t fit at the lug end, so I have to adapt to needing to remove the watch if I want to tweak the size during the day. Too bad, because I love the slim version of the watch. In total, I have three watches that use the older clasp and one with the newer version. Feel is the same, but I dislike the inability to ratchet larger or smaller while the watch is on the wrist!

We are changing from now on to the superior 24/22mm tapering bracelet, which is custom developed for H2O. The clasp is far better with double security for unwanted opening and also incorporates micro adjustment. The new bracelet will be used as new SS standard bracelet for the Kalmar and Orca series. The DLC bracelet will be changed to the new design as soon as we run out of stock.
