At long last, I'm finally going to check out a watch from Lum-Tec. As they have a reputation for having some of the best lume available. This is the Vortex D5, a 40mm solar-powered super compressor style diver.

Interesting review as compared to him I wear mine on a daily basis for over a year. Yes I agree with Buzz the CS is great as far turn around. I had the movement issue, The Lume does suck for a company called Lum -tec. The alignment on mine is spot on so I noticed on the video his was off. I was surprised about the 30 dollar movement and 600 dollar watch statement that he would have been happier if it was a 400 or 500 dollar watch. I think mine was 470 something on the pre order so maybe he might of liked it better if he had pre-ordered. Overall if I like mine with a few minor issues and it will continue to be a daily wearer in the distant future. Mike fyi it is a 42mm no big deal.

That was from his specs Mike, but thanks anyhow so I could correct it. It boggles my mind how these guys review trinkets and get something so basic wrong. I hope you and Buzz wear yours well.

ROBYNN CHUTKAN MD was studying up on youtube... this DOC is excellent...she sez she can correlate probabilities illness based on either of 2 species of bacteria in gut...i thought of you on THE REZmschill813 essential plague worker here comes monkey pox ...i been studying this stuff a while and that DOC IS SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER...DOC WAMBO oughta MAMBO on that vid also

circling back I WANT MY MDV ... LT is or was a lume contractor... the thing with paint... faded glory... if you need an all night man skip the blue pill and go with tubes best teenage ninja mutant turtle missions

had my 600 Abyss for a few years and did really like it. Sold it on but the dial and case design were great. I'd give thought to going back in for the 44mm version. That said the lime was good to very good but not better than many other and certainly no Zelos.

I don't really think the Vortex is the place to judge Lum Tec's lume. You can't do thick applications on on this dial. Printed dials never hold the lume like applied markers.
