Vortex D1 Back in Action

Unfortunately, my newer Lum-Tec Vortex D1 Solar is dead. It will not hold a charge. I know that there was another member on this forum with the exact model had this happen as well. I know that this was Lum-Tech first go at a solar powered watch. Don't know if that has anything to do with it or just a strange coincidence. Either way they will remedy the problem. I just hope that it does not happen again. I have a couple of Citizen models that are much older and they are just fine. Oh well. That is all.

The same thing happened to Mike and he had to send it back. The turnaround time was good. Good luck Buzz.
 
Hey Buzz just saw your post. Had Covid again so have been off for a while it was me like Mike said. Total turn around time was a week.

This is what they did had it back nearly a month and working fine. Hopefully it won’t happen again good luck!

I thought that was you but could not find your post. I knew that you got yours back pretty quick. For me, they are the state below me so travel tyme should not be an issue. I hope that you are feeling better.
 
Mine did the same thing. I sent it back this week, along with a slightly critical letter, and it should arrived back on Monday.
I just sent mine back today. I feel pretty confident it will come back just fine. Thanks for your input.(y)
 
Mine came back very fast. My form came back with no report on the cause. I guess I'll have to email them to find out.

In my first correspondence with them, they said, "

Hi Dave,
Sorry to hear about your D2. We have had a few stop and we know the root cause of the problem, so we are able to address it and you should have many years of good life from that one."

The watch does work now, and I'm glad they took care if it super fast.

Lum-Tec received on 7/25 and I received on 7/28. 3 days. Pretty good in my opinion. No description of the issue but it is working just fine.



Excellent customer service. I am in Michigan and their in Ohio. Close proximity probably helped.
