Vostok Europe is proud to be a sponsor and official timekeeper of “The Baikal Project” – a World Breaking Record Attempt to Traverse Siberia’s Frozen lake Baikal on Motorbikes unsupported. The Expedition will take place in February, 2020.

Last week members of The Baikal Project made a shakedown test in Rovaniemi, Finland right on the Arctic Circle to understand how well they are prepared for the real adventure.

All Vostok Europe watches of the “Underground Everest” series successfully passed all shakedown tests including swimming in the frozen water.
Vostok Europe. Watches for going to extremes!

interesting testing the extremes to cold and heat... limits of mechanical watches...cold plunge must be good for you... whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger

looks like FINNISH dunking technique... hold on to 10' sapling stripped of bark -dunk-pray- haul azz out and hope your lungs work and your extremities aint frost bit...i think this works best when there is a hot sauna real near by

I'm thinking that's about a 2 second dunk... just enough before you loose all feeling in your extremities and can't get out by yourself. Better him than me... I don't like washing my hands in cold water.
