What is MecaQuartz?
Mecaquartz chronographs use movements of a hybrid construction. These movements join a quartz-regulated electronic timekeeping engine and a mechanical chronograph module. Mecaquartz chronographs have the accuracy and stability of quartz, the handling of a mechanical chronograph, and a physically compact package.

Lume on Vario trinkets has been very poor. Those sub-dials seem forced on this dial originally made for three hand models. For a hundred dollars less I like this one a lot better.

The Zoretto Jarama is a Meca-Quartz Chronograph and got its inspiration from the sport watches in the late sixties.
The Meca-Quartz Chronograph hand resets like on a mechanical watch und it also runs like a mechanical watch and ticks 4 times a second.
