The name Alan Lai sounds familiar to me... 
and this is one of his endeavours... As the title says I think it's a kool homage to "Ming" with the laser engraved crystal... And it has some "Direnzo" vibes too... Anyway...
Crafted from Grade 5 titanium, powered by a Miyota 9039 automatic movement, and illuminated by a multi-layer lume system of Swiss BGW9 and C1, the Lucent blends bold character with everyday versatility.

Valour’s goal is to bring inspired designs within reach for all collectors and enthusiasts. With Lucent, we focused on dimensionality, execution, and presence.
Lucent’s Multi-layered Lume Construction
Lucent features multiple layers and applications of lume. The dial uses large blocks of casted lume that form the quadrants. Next are the generously lumed hands that showcase a floating lollipop seconds hand that traces the lume blocks. Lastly, the sapphire crystal was engraved and then filled with C1 Super Luminova. With this precision process, Lucent delivers a dimensional, luminous effect unlike any other of its kind.
The lume races over the organic pattern of the dial. This swirling pattern attracts visually like a vortex of light in multiple dimensions.
Lucent’s color variants were inspired by light and natural wonders. Each has a distinct personality and own way of expression.
Designed to blend the classic impression with the sophisticated patterns of the Lucent, this model embodies the brand’s purest personality.
Light nurturing light as the Frost Silver takes the beauty of white snow and showers it with light patterns. It’s a timeless combination with a modern twist.
Intense and explosive, the Nova Red model brings the fiery personality to this Lucent. Boldness expressed in timekeeping.
Inspired by the vitality of fauna and mysterious northern lights, Aurora Mint is a symbol for life and calm presence.
Like the cloudy skies above, the Astral Blue variant has a comforting and soothing spirit. This is a perfect match for a fashion mentality.

We’re Albert Lai and Jayson De Castro, two lifelong watch enthusiasts turned creators. Albert is a physician and entrepreneur with a deep passion for design and engineering precision. Jayson is a designer and watch reviewer who has spent years studying the details that make a timepiece truly memorable. Together, we’ve co-founded Valour Watches to bring high-concept, beautifully constructed mechanical watches to life — at a price that doesn’t compromise on vision or quality. What Are We Making?
We’re launching our debut model: the Lucent V001, a modern mechanical watch that focuses on light, texture, and precision. Constructed from Grade 5 titanium, powered by a Miyota 8315 automatic movement, and layered with Swiss BGW9 and C1 lume, the Lucent creates a unique luminous dimensional experience through: • casted lume blocks embedded on the dial • Laser-etched luminous print on the sapphire crystal • A dynamic Geneva-pattern dial ring • A skeletonized full-lume handset. A custom curved quick-release strap with a proprietary clasp becomes integral to the design.
Every Lucent is a statement — of creativity, clarity, and craftsmanship.
Where Did This Project Come From?
As collectors, we’ve always admired watches that pushed boundaries with light play, textures, and unexpected layering. But we found few options that were both design-forward and financially accessible — especially when it came to watches with architectural lume treatments and titanium construction. So we decided to build one ourselves. We’ve already created multiple prototypes, finalized our production design, and worked closely with manufacturing partners to ensure we’re delivering something that feels premium the moment you hold it. Our production is already scheduled and will happen regardless of the outcome of this Kickstarter campaign.
What’s the Plan & Timeline?
We’re doing things differently: production is starting before this campaign launches. That means there’s no vague timeline — we’ve secured the suppliers, built the tools, and confirmed every step of the process.

We’ve kept things lean, but high-quality: • Manufacturing (watches + packaging): 70% • Shipping, fulfillment, insurance: 10% • Marketing, assets, and Kickstarter fees: 15% Contingency and stretch goal coverage: 5%
60% We’re self-funded production and are using Kickstarter to raise funds for final production and to expand our reach. Every dollar is carefully allocated.
