Limited to 300 pieces, the MB Viper is based on the original concept test instrument watch that was developed to put Bremont’s ENG300 Series movement through the rigorous Martin-Baker fighter jet ejection seat testing programme.

Crafted from Grade 5 Titanium and anodised aluminium, this lightweight model features a 43.5mm Trip-Tick® case construction, housing the Bremont-manufactured ENG352 calibre movement , protected by Bremont's patented Anti-Shock movement technology.

Each watch is presented in a custom Peli Case, following the same design cues as the watch itself, which includes the complimentary second strap and watch tool, and can be used to safely store your timepiece.

The MB Viper comes in a unique Bremont Box, featuring the iconic yellow and black pattern associated with fighter jet ejection seat handles as a nod to British aviation company Martin-Baker.

A CONCEPT TEST WATCH COMES TO LIFE​

To test Bremont’s manufactured movement series, the ENG300, Bremont created a concept test instrument to put it through the most extreme testing environment, equalling that of fighter ejection seat technology.

Enlisting the support of renowned British aviation company Martin-Baker it would have to be designed, developed and built to endure anything a pilot might and more. The test instrument that was developed captured the imagination of both Bremont and Martin-Baker who have subsequently decided to launch it in its own right, and so was born the Limited Edition MB Viper, a lightweight model crafted from titanium and anodised aluminium.

THE TEST INSTRUMENT​

Eager to push boundaries and understand the true performance potential of Bremont’s ENG300 movement, the ultimate challenge had to be to put it through the rigorous schedule of environment testing conditions that Martin-Baker deploys across its suite of fighter ejection seats.

In 2022, Bremont continued its pursuit of the ultimate pilot’s watch by designing an instrument that could house the Bremont manufactured ENG300 movement in order to subject it to these tests.

FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION​

The unique shape of the watch originates from a special mount engineered by Bremont, designed to securely fix the ENG300 Test Instrument in place whilst being subjected to HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) – a number of rigorous tests completed in the laboratory by Martin-Baker. The ENG300 movement signals the first time in 50 years that mechanical movements have been built at scale on British shores. The test instrument housed this movement within its patented anti-shock movement mount, designed to absorb impacts whilst continuing to perform faultlessly.
