Great shot of some cool mop, Noize.

Beautiful pic - you have really captured it - fantastic dial & orient - the gold really pops.

Different ( ANOTHER) light from a different direction to get the bezel bling to catch up with the dial.

That's just a plain ole killer shot of a killer watch, I'm surprised Kat took it off long enough for you to shoot it. I enjoy the shallow depth of field you often capture in your pics. Photog skillz are on point!

Just a marvelous photo, 360! You captured the essence of that piece wonderfully.:outstand:

So what were your settings like? I really struggle getting decent MOP photos.

iso 100

fstop was set to 4.0

I took this shot outdoors in natural light

to get the mop to light up I just turned the dial into the sunlight

best of luck

You nailed it bignoize!!! Cool contrasting elements.

Nice photo Big.

I would try a different background, something without clutter in it. :)

Overall very good . . . and you captured the MOP quite well . . . and I like the use of DoF to isolate the dial, especially from the background. A few suggestions . . .

The red in the background is a slight distraction as it's a warm to hot color. A gray or blue would work better, as the rest of the background is cooler and more subdued. The eye tends toward yellows and reds, and some towards greens, more than it does toward grays and blues. Work with the light to get a little more specular highlights on the gems . . . the lighting is soft which is what you generally need for jewelry, but not too soft when you're working with faceted gem stones that should sparkle some, but not so much as to distract from the rest. Whatever you do, don't lose the MOP colors you've captured, or the DoF isolation.
