SWATCH back paddles on movement supply

It's amazing what getting drilled in the bottom line will do to ones insight, as to the correctness of a business decision.:dizzy::grin

What will the TV talking heads do. Can't say the sky is falling on Eta movements for everyone anymore. Reality is is that luxury watches aren't as big as Swatch thought and competition by other movment companies was just that competition that watch companies were willing to seek out and use. Tried to be a monopoly and found that the goal of monopoly was to bankrupt or degrade all other competition which if you were the only game in town may work. There were other games stepping up to supply and the market meaning us consumers won as they won't be able to over price the market as sales just didn't justify it. Will this though discourage other outlets from trying to make their own movements as will the companies trying other avenues come flocking back to Swatch or will they keep using the alternatives. given the option. Should be interesting and beneficial to us consumers.

And I paraphrase... "Whatsoever man seweth, that shall he also reap."

Yes interesting article. Thanks for sharing!

The more movements flooding the industry the lower the price.
