Because the genuine ETA 2824-2 comes with it, Swiss Made

Anyone can engrave words on a rotor. A real movement will be stamped on the body. I trust Steve 100% if he claims it is an ETA it is the real deal. He recalled a bunch of bronze watches because he found out it was not CuSn8.

There is a bronze watch recall in affect issued by Peter of Helson and Ralf/Steve of Benarus in regards to their bronze watches....it has been found out through private testing that the advertised CuSn8 bronze to be used in their watches came back as a different bronze alloy,so both Helson and Benarus have issued e-mails to their bronze customers to return the watches to be re-cased by the manufacturer in the correct bronze cases.Due to problems with the Benarus website the Benarus e-mails have been delayed,so please be patient and do not e-mail Steve, you will receive the instructions on how to proceed in the next week...these instructions are for every owner, whether you are the original or not....below is a copy of Peters e-mail,and once again the Benarus e-mails will be sent out shortly so please do NOT e-mail Steve or Ralf....imho this a very fresh and honest approach by these 2 fine watch companies.I would hope others would follow this example.

Don't get all caught up in that crap man. There are highly customized rotors, plain and everything in between. They probably sell the clean slate rotor versions for a little less or that is generic rotor version. I've seen and have Valjoux 7750 movements from Christopher Ward and Invicta with plain rotors. Steinhart uses plain rotors on ETA 2824-2 with their logo on them.

Just like the Solitude with the NH35 movement the AF is overpriced for $700.00 IMO. The dial reminds me of the Defender (dual crown) using the Miyota 9015 which was a far better deal at $375.00. The only thing I like with the Airfield is the choice of the NH38 for the no date version.

HISTORY

A visual history of past Raven models.
The History section is currently under construction.

NIGHT STALKER

Circa 2008-2010
The Raven Night Stalker was one of a few early models created in small batches by the hands of Jeff. Other models such as the Marine XL, Type 1 homages, and vintage style subs were all created during these early years by sourcing and fitting the parts and not producing high quantities at a factory level.

VINTAGE 42

Circa 2011-2012
Our first factory produced Raven. The case is a 42mm homage to early Submariner characteristics such as the domed acrylic, riveted bracelet, and large crown. The original Vintage 42 housed the ETA 2824 movement.

VINTAGE 40MM

Circa 2012
It was around this time that we began receiving feedback to produce the vintage in a 40mm case size. We decided to produced 2 models at the same time, the Vintage 40mm and the Deep 44mm. At that time the 44mm still sold faster leading to the Deep Tech. The Vintage 40mm houses the Miyota 9015 movement.

DEEP 44MM

Circa 2012-2013
The Deep 44 was designed at this time because we were still obsessing over the DSSD that had been introduced in 2008. The Deep 44 is similar in size to a DSSD, but uses vintage styles found on Mil-Subs, and modern tech such as a sapphire bezel and automatic HRV. The Deep 44 houses the Miyota 9015.

DEEP TECH

Circa 2014-2015
The Deep Tech was a refined Deep 44 that pushed the technology of going deep. Water resistant to 2,500 meters, this was our most robust watch ever produced. The domed sapphire alone is 5.5mm thick. The Deep Tech has homage cues from several watches but these elements together have made the Raven Deep Tech a unique and special watch in our history. We produced 2 series of the Deep Tech back to back that included blue dials, vintage lume, red bezels, and DLC models. The Deep Tech houses the Miyota 9015. The Deep Tech is returning in 2020 with a Swiss ETA 2826 Big Date movement.

VINTAGE 42 - GEN 2

Circa 2015
The Vintage 42 (gen 2) was a return to the original Raven homage design. The bezel was changed to alloy inserts as it was more inline with the vintage design. The bezels came in black, red, and blue. The watch also came on the vintage style riveted bracelet and houses the Miyota 9015.

DEFENDER

Circa 2016
The Defender is the design where we break away from homage watches. At this time many watch companies begin producing homages and saturate the market. We were ready to produce new designs that stand on their own and have the same "less is more" functionality that we love to see with a watch. The Defender was launched on Kickstarter and was a success. The watches included brass and steel cases, multiple case finishes, 3 dial colors, and an internal bezel, a sapphire case back, and the Miyota 9015. The case is a 42mm.

TREKKER

Circa 2016-2017
The Trekker is a return to the Vintage 40mm case size but with an updated design that is well balanced, functional, and pure Raven. The Trekker was a successful model, but during this time we received a lot of feedback to produce this watch in a larger 42mm size. Those requests lead to designing the Venture 42.

VENTURE

Circa 2017-2018
The Raven Venture was designed with adventure in mind. The Venture is our midsize watch at 42mm that is ready to be your daily partner on any adventure or travel that you pursue. There were 200 total watches produced in the first series.

ENDEAVOUR

Circa 2018
The Raven Endeavour is our latest dive watch that we believe is already a classic. This is the first generation of a watch line we plan on developing for years to come. This uniquely designed 44mm steel cased watch features many desirable specs that make this timepiece an excellent choice for extreme conditions or expeditions in any environment.

TREKKER II

Circa 2018
The Trekker returned with a Swiss ETA 2824 movement and the option for a stainless steel bezel insert as well as the original lumed black bezel. The Trekker featured an oyster bracelet in this series and was available with black, blue, and gray dials as well as the yellow accents and seconds hand. The Trekker will be returning in 2020 with an updated 39mm case design.

VENTURE II

Circa 2019
The Venture II was available with a blue dial or a black dial with blue accents. The bezel options were matte black ceramic or brushed stainless steel. The watch was powered by the Swiss ETA 2824 movement. The Venture will be returning in late 2020 after the next Trekker project is completed. The Venture will remain a 42mm case, but will have some design changes to the overall case, with some Venture design elements carried over.

ENDEAVOUR II

Circa 2019
The second series of the Endeavour was the first Raven watch to house the Sellita 200 Swiss automatic movement. These Endeavour models were available in black, glacier white, french blue, caution yellow, and brown dials.
