The Prometheus Poseidon Stainless Steel Black White Bezel Lumed with Meteorite Dial is powered by a Miyota 9015 Automatic Movement and is part of an elite group of extreme deep dive watches in the world capable of withstanding pressures of over 350 ATM.
It is a limited edition of 50 pcs made with a dial made of meteorite. The meteorite used for the dial is part of the Muonionalusta meteorite discovered in Sweden in 1906. It is a metallic meteorite with approximately 4.5 billion years old and a result of the formation of our solar system featuring a very unique design different than any other material.
Each one of the meteorite dials due to the nature of the rock has a different and distinct pattern almost like a fingerprint making each watch very unique. The pattern is a result of the formation process of the meteorite with millions of years cooling and warming according to its orbit around the Sun making it as well impossible to replicate.
The watch features a 120 click unidirectional bezel with a lumed sapphire bezel insert and is a watch inspired in designs of vintage diver watches from the 1960 and 70s with a flare of modernity and timeless design.
A helium valve is located at the 9 o'clock position of the watch case making it a versatile diver watch that can be used by professional divers.
This automatic men's automatic diver watch is built to last with a 316L stainless steel case, sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating applied underneath, a 316L stainless steel bezel with sapphire insert and a custom 316L bracelet with diver extension.
With a total height of 15.90mm it is possible to use the Prometheus Poseidon in both formal and informal occasions and is one of the slimmest deep diver watches in production.
Such slim factor is possible due to the slim Miyota 9015 automatic movement built with 21st century technologies.
The dial, watch hands, chapter ring, dial and sapphire bezel of the Prometheus Poseidon Meteorite Stainless Steel 3500m Miyota 9015 Automatic Diver Watch have Swiss Made RC Tritec BGW9 lume applied to it in order to guarantee a perfect illumination and easy readability in darkness.
Each Prometheus Poseidon Stainless Steel Meteorite Diver Watch is complemented by a 316L solid stainless steel bracelet with a diver extension clasp.

Very sharp, with some outstanding executions to choose from. Thanks for the HU, information, and link, Mike.:good::applaud:

Very nice yet the Invicta Pro Diver Meteorite I with the SW200 has been less then this watch.

Your not serious are you comparing that with this one for less? :shame: The specs alone merit more money, ratchet bracelet, screws in links, sapphire crystal, lumed sapphire bezel insert, Swiss Made RC Tritec BGW9 lume. As far as the Sellita 200, the Miyota 9015 actually cost more currently. Deep Blue was selling SW200 watches for $249.00. IMO as long as it has a 28,800 bph one or the other is fine.

a lot of space rocks coming from micros @ affordable prices

all good points but I like the Gibson meteorite and the pic of the Meteorite does nothing for me.

Your money and your opinion which I respect. They say it is Gibeon, but is it really? :hmm: Flame Fusion and Tritnite, mystery material bezel insert does not ring any bells for me either. The video below shows $840 on sale, but I'm sure it was less if you say so. .

Nice piece, espcially the narrow hands Blue seconds for me. Now, to choose between a few more hundred for a better build and tritium tubes, but fewer features and lower WR in the Ball Engineer III.

Thanks for posting, Mike.

Mike I have this watch & I'm pretty sure the $840.00 is the lowest aired so far anyway. But I used a 20% coupon code so made it a nicer deal. The bezel is not aluminum & I wish I knew what it's actually made out of not sure? Almost like a hardened rubber with lume markers. If anybody knows I would love to know?:hmm:

I like this KS offer but just laid out for the Zelos V2, so I'm not in the ballgame for this one.

The Benarus Megalodon Dive Watch

The Megalodon, by Benarus, is the ultimate dive watch with the highest quality of materials and tolerances possible with todays manufacturing technologies. We combine the specs of a super dive watch with the materials of a luxury watch to bring you this unique sports watch at an affordable price.
First let's look at the inspiration of the name, design, the size, and the dial. The Megalodon was the largest shark to ever live in our oceans. They could grow to nearly 60 feet long and have teeth 5-7 inches. Our Megalodon is also massive in size with a diameter of 49mm. The watch dial is also full of large shark teeth inspired hour marks and hands.

While you are looking at the dial and hands above, look at the lume we are using. Swiss Super-LumiNova is the best lume product on the market. Used by the top luxury brands, we also use this material and apply it many times to achieve the brightest and longest glow possible. View our Megalodon glowing in the picture below. The lume we are using for this project is called BGW-9, it is pure white in the daylight and glows blue at night. The sample watch below is using the BGW-9 that we will use on this project.

Our case and bracelet are machined out of solid 316L stainless steel. 316L is known as an anti-allergic stainless steel. Below are some images to give you an idea of the Megalodons shape and measurements.
Megalodon jaws engraved on the case back

Above you can see the profile of the Megalodon, the crown on the left is how you operate the mechanical automatic movement. The darker circle on the right is an automatic helium release valve (HRV). This valve is used if gases such as helium enters the watch through the rubber gaskets. The gas will expand as air pressure changes and the valve will let the gas out without damaging the watch.

The lugs on the Megalodon are drilled so that you can remove the bracelet easily and use a rubber dive strap, or any 24mm strap that you want to use.
With the Megalodon, you are free to use any 24mm strap you like for fun & style, but for actual diving, you can leave this watch on the bracelet thanks to our adjustable divers clasp.

Benarus Megalodon, adjustable dive clasp
The solid steel dive clasp has 2 sets of push buttons. In the picture above, the buttons on the left open the clasp for removing the watch and the buttons on the right open the expanding clasp.
Benarus Megalodon, adjustable dive clasp

The reason the Megalodon is a super dive watch is because of the design of the case, the thickness of the case back and sapphire crystal, and the use of rubber gaskets. Below you can see the super specs on the inside and out.

Benarus Megalodon, internal specs
The Megalodon uses 2 rubber gaskets with the case back and 3 rubber gaskets in the crown. The next 2 images you can see some of these rubber gaskets.

Benarus Megalodon, rubber gaskets and caliber 9015
Looking at the 2 rubber gaskets above, you can also see the caliber 9015 automatic movement. The 9015 is made by Miyota in Japan. Miyota is a movement production house owned by Citizen Watches. This movement is one of Citizen's highest quality movements available today.
Here are some of the performance numbers of the 9015:

  • 28,800 beats per hour, or 8 ticks per second (smooth sweep).
  • 40 hour power reserve if you set the watch down.
  • Hand winding crown, for when the watch has no power.
  • Stop second hand (hacking) for setting precise time.
  • Shock absorber and steel retaining ring.
  • Time regulated at our factory for better performance.

I really like this. Touch smaller than I like, but boy am I thinking about this one. Thanks for the post Mike!

That Meg is NICE! Glad some one else must like 49mm watches.

I agree, I think this is a really fair price for what you're getting. There are muonionalusta meteorite rings for over $500, (i'd rather have my meteorite in a watch, thanks!)

Gosh Darn you Roadwarrior!!, now this is yet another watch I want to add to my collection!!

Anyone have any idea how this is going to wear? 43mm is just a touch smaller than I like, but I can't stop thinking about this. I know no one has this watch, but does someone have something similar in size to this with a similar bezel and what not? Knowing how this wears will help me decide. Thanks in advance for any input on this.
