Pre-order open Eagle Ray. $499.50-$607.50 with full payment. Meteorite option added.

I like this one. I also like the option of no date.

I went on Prometheus website and they have some pictures of the watch and the gmt version with the 2893 along with the lume they use is insane. That has to be one of the nicest models they have put out in a long time since the Manta Ray and the Poseidon.

The Superluminova C3 X1 Lume being used is the strongest grade currently offered. Borealis used it on this one I have.

Qualities of Swiss Super-LumiNova®

Since the very beginning of the Swiss Super-LumiNova® era, we have always put a lot of efforts in improving its performance steadily. Different research projects have led to Grade A and now to the superior Grade X1 quality. The three available Swiss Super-LumiNova® qualities are:

  • Standard Grade
  • Grade A
  • Grade X1

The new Swiss Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 shows a performance increase of up to 60% after two hours compared to the standard grade. By using Swiss Super-LumiNova® Grade X1, the legibility according to the ISO 3157 standard will be extended by at least a factor of 1.6 on the long term.

Swiss Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 defines a new quality standard of night visibility on your watch, which has never been seen before.

Gonna have to pick one now. ;)

Will be picking up one also. Best looking watch I have seen in awhile. I am usually a date guy but I can see where the option for no date really adds to the symmetry especially when you see lume shots of it.

A very good looking TIMEpiece. Like all of the executions of this model. I really like that space rock too.

Easy choice for me. Blue dial, blue bezel, no date with the ETA 2824-2 paid in full.

Man, was going to be in the NBZ for awhile - but this watch looks fantastic and the price is better than I expected. Will do the blue no date after I sell a watch or two. I think the no-date is definitely the way to go on this one.

IMO more companies are using meteorite these days so the appeal of uniqueness is fading faster than a falling chunk of space rock. I can see the attraction for collectors of meteorite like Scantor, I do the same with Tritium tube dials. If I didn't have one meteorite already I probably would have selected that one, which looks sharp with the grey ceramic bezel. The blue is a different shade and IMO not as dull looking as meteorite, the white dial is nice as well and was a consideration.

Date windows can really bug me marring the dial. That's why there is only a no date version offered in the meteorite dial to keep the symmetry flowing. Usually when given a choice I'll always choose without the date. The exception will be if a matching colored date wheel is offered I'll consider it, but even with that it's iffy. One less thing to break or go wrong with the movement and I'm constantly reminded of the date by everything around me anyhow.

Bouncing between the no date black/black and blue/blue 2824's. Glad that inner ring is brass and not the usual plastic.

Leaning blue.

I'm leaning toward the blue no date myself. These look really nice!

I caved and made the jump earlier for the blue no date.

-good comment RW re space rock ubiquity...asian technology keeps bringing more & more exotic materials an complications to the masses so according to laws of supply and demand prices keep dropping as quality and exotic complications are more readily available-

You know you set the standard for people to follow suit. So far blue seems to be the choice. I am still thinking about ebony and white.
