Hello, I'm new to the hobby and new to this forum. I'm so happy to be here. I live in Bethesda, Maryland, USA. By day I work in clean energy and I have a modest collection. Started with an Omega Seamaster Pro in 2007. My wife bought me a Zenith El Primero Grande Classe Open Heart as a wedding present (which is just a beautifully-made watch). In 2019 I added a Panerai 1312 which I purchased at the Panerai boutique in Florence, Italy. Great experience. In the last year I've gotten more into collecting microbrands. I've added two Zelos so far (Mako v3 Ti in Teal and a Abyss Bronze with Blue) and I'm looking for my third (Starfighter Aventurine). Other watches in the box of mixed quality: Casioak G-Shock, Sea-Gull 1963, MTM Hypertec-X, Spinnaker Dumas (mistake purchase). I want to evolve into a better collector with more discrete tastes and preferences so I'm teaching myself about movements, finishes and more about watchmaking. Some of my target watches for the collection that aren't micro-brands include: Zenith Chronomaster Sport Panda (I like this more than the Daytona or Speedmaster. Zenith is so overlooked.); Tudor Black Bay (going to be a classic up there with the Rolex Sub); Omega Worldtimer. On the microbrand side I want to add: Halios, H20, Farer, Anordain, Monta. I'm always looking for microbrand suggestions. I prefer a watch 40mm minimum as I have an 8" wrist. I'm happy to be here and learn from all of you.
