Something new from Nauticfish, from Oceanic Time... http://oceanictime.blogspot.com/2017/10/nauticfish-thusunt.html

NAUTICFISH Thûsunt

I can’t remember the last time I posted a NauticFish Diver; it would seem that the German brand is still going strong and here’s a new divers model to prove it.

The NauticFish Thûsunt is a new diver with an old name – that is to say that its name Thûsunt comes for the Old High German mean thousand.

The astute among you wouldn’t be surprised that the Thûsunt has a thousand meters of water-resistance, but what else does it offer?

Developed with the collector’s market in-mind, the Thûsunt is endowed with a 43mm x 43mm cushion case and a by the convex-loupe Sapphire glass with an enlargement factor of approx. 1.3.

Further features include: an automatic PVD coated automatic Helium Escape Valve and stunning color-gradient dial available in black, blue or green. Power comes from an automatic, Swiss Made ETA-2824-2.

Choose between a German made steel shark-mesh bracelet or an Italian made vintage style leather strap.

So what do we think, folks? I’m not reaching for the Kleenex but it looks like a pretty solid looking tool-diver. Love the chunkiness of the bezel and the PVD’d HEV is a nice touch. MSRP is 1000€.

I really like this, not for the price tag, but I like the watch.

That's a beaut Tool for sure !!!

Screws in the bezel, round with three hands and a date. Where have I seen that before? :hmm:

So many of these designs seem to use similar interchangeable parts leaving little room for much separation. The downward slope of the lugs, crown guard and outer style on bezel reminds me of an H20.

The price is in the same neighborhood as what C.H. charges for similar specs and ETA 2824-2 builds. It even comes in a cute little dive box.

With bracelet and leather strap 1.005,00 EUR 1005 Euro equals 1165.16 US Dollar
incl. Shipping costs

On rubber 795 Euro equals 921.70 US Dollar

No argument there, Mike. You, I, and others have commented lately that almost every new diver that comes along looks very familiar. Divers are my favorite designs, but it's getting hard to get excited about them - been there, done that ad infinitum. I thought these were a bit different, but the more I look, the more familiar they are......and the price doesn't make it any better. Maybe some of us have been doing this for too long. :dunno: Hopefully some new collector will enjoy checking these out. If not, there are dozens of different dive watch makers on the OceanicTime site to compare with. :drink:

Agreed. These are nice and would have definitely captured my attention a half-decade ago. When it comes to this hobby, my eyes are growing tired and the sites which once excited have grown stagnant. I'm sure there will be plenty of interest from future collectors or others who have a fresher perspective.

Well said, my friend. Right on the money.

I have to agree with both of your comments... but as far as divers go, this one isn't half bad.
