I went to strap on my Orient watch the other day, and as I was buckling it I noticed it was 20 minutes slow. Weird. Because just a few days before I had worn it. I checked the crown, and it was not pulled out at all. Since I was in a rush I strapped on another watch.

Later that day, I reset the Orient to the correct time. Once again, it is keeping proper time and it has been several days now.

Weird, huh?

I've accidentally set the wrong time and I could have sworn it was right. Later only to find out photos I took of several watches set at the same time show that the one in question was indeed set wrong by me. I'm not saying human error is what happened to you Tom, but just throwing my experience out there. Hopefully it was just anomaly in your case.

Set the wrong time more than once myself.

I've had weird things like that happen to me several times. If the watch started to perform correctly , I usually assumed it was operator error.

Hopefully what RW stated is what happened. I think many of us have fallen victim to that including myself. It is working now so that is a good sign.
