THE KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES IN 24 HOURS!* CHECK THEIR WEBSITE FOR MORE DETAILS

The next must fill niche, or obscurity for the sake of it? I actually quite like the concept, I have a few manual winders and enjoy them, and it works with the retro theme and the acrylic. It is a bit big though, which is at odds with most of the other brands like Baltic and Lorier who are doing similar stuff. I'm sure it'll go well enough though. Cheers, Jody

Coming to Kickstarter in July 2021.
Limited quantity offer starting from US$399.

HVD WATCHES: https://hvdwatches.com/

Probably the most interesting watch I've reviewed this year, the HVD Spectre Diver is a labor of love from Travis Tan, who also heads up RZE watches. Featuring a unique hand wound swiss Selita SW210 movement, an acrylic crystal, awesome case finishing and vintage touches throughout, the Spectre Diver is one you'll definitely want to check out, even if only for the novelty of it all.

DISCLAIMERS
This video is not sponsored by HVD in any way. The watch featured in the review is a prototype that I borrowed and returned. Some of the strap options shown were gifted to me by the strap companies that made them.

Comfort is essential, which is why we fitted the bracelet with a push-deployment buckle with custom moulded chamfer edges on the underside of the clasp; creating the perfect comfortable fit when the buckle lies against your wrist. It’s the finer details that matter.

Production and delivery schedule:

Travis and Vivian have been in the watch industry for the past 7 years, having run 6 successful campaigns and raising more than US$500,000 on Kickstarter, not including individual website sales throughout the years. They have built up their supply chain and fulfilment capabilities through shipping thousands of watches, and have managed to refine and perfect their process with only the highest quality suppliers. They have served thousands of happy customers over the years, consistently staying on schedule and delivering incredible value. This reliability will be unchanged with the launch of HVD. Expect the same great customer service and product from the founders.

Our most recent campaign:

RZE Resolute titanium field watch | 384 Backers | SGD179,381 Raised

Warranty:

We firmly stand by the quality of all our products. Each HVD SpectreDiver comes with a 1-year international warranty. The HVD warranty covers any defect in material quality or workmanship that may occur within normal and reasonable use during the warranty period. In these cases, HVD will cover the costs of repair/replacement of the product(s) and/or parts of products that prove to be defective under normal and reasonable use. This warranty does not apply to any damage resulting from misuse, or any cosmetic damage due to normal wear and tear and/or abuse. The opening of the case back outside of an authorized repair will result in the warranty being rendered void.

The Showstopper. The Emerald is the highlight of the SpectreDiver collection, featuring a classic British racing green dial for a modern sport watch look with a vintage heart. The vintage scratched dial perfectly complements the applied gold indexes and hands that stand proud from the lower surface. The Emerald is fitted with a polished dark green bezel to match the dial and complete the look of this vintage wonder.

:hmm: No ceramic bezel

This watch got my attention when I first saw the press release and their literature. I had certain expectations of what it would wear like and feel on the wrist. After receiving it for review, I share my thoughts and experience.

It's not burning up any records. They are still 12 grand shy of the goal. I only paid $418.00 for my CW Vintage C65 diver and it had a boxed sapphire, nicer bracelet and the SW210. They are using a plastic crystal. They could have used a ceramic insert instead of aluminum.
yea u right...CW looking good

final word please : HAVE YOU EVER WOUND IT AND TRACKED IT ? any thoughts on any thing on the movement ?

any expensive watches use it ?

It's the only 210 I have, but feels good to me in comparison to my Ball PW and other ETA Unitas.

EXAMPLES OF WATCHES WITH CALIBER SW210-1:

Sellita Caliber Sw 210 1 Junghans Max Bill Handaufzug
Sellita Caliber Sw210 1 Junghans Max Bill Handaufzug

The KS watch is not a bad looking watch and anyone could do a lot worse for the money. If I didn't have the CW I might bite.

You can pick a 210 with the drop down box here. https://deklawatches.com/en/

I figured with 20mm lugs it would be right up USCLASSICS alley. :hmm: He likes the RZE and it's the same folks who made that one.
maybe ...but it wears very big///

kinda like

the glashutte NOMOS 37 that wears very big with extended lugs... this one wears big & heavy and tall ...but yeah the 2omm lugs,,,

junghans a good neighborhood for 210 sellita hand wind...gonna go back and study vids on 210 like MIKE TYSON studied gracianno 1st rocky

It's the male end links that push it over some wrist bones.

Sorry for the confusion, I was supposed to list the bund strap add-on after the stretch goal, nonetheless, I'll have a chat with the factory tomorrow to see if we can make the bund strap regardless the stretch goal. :)

the male end links look nice

it's dress/sport with specs...

that would be cool to dress for whatever social GTG...have a really nice looking watch ...but ...in the event of emergency self created or otherwise...or even rain drops... nice to have a capable tool watch

Either or would work with aftermarket straps or bracelets. Some are built into the lugs and are proprietary.

Note he says it has a screw down crown but specs say push pull. Wonder which it really is? :hmm:

It's a push/pull on the production model. That makes more sense on a manual wind.

See the 2:28 mark with JOMW.

Yes it does but it also makes me question the 200m wr. Also not a fan of those squared off hands. Could have really been great for me,
