Well rushed out the door today to run errands realized I didn't have a watch on after about an hour I had to put something on my wrist so while returning an item for my EX GF I saw they has a shelf with some cheap watches. Marshall's never has watches! I saw this and love the way it looked and for $20.00 I grabbed it. After putting it on I thought to myself this is one dam good looking cheap a** watch. LOL I remember Jomashop selling these for $40.00 a while back. Thought they were cool looking but the specs were not attractive. They claim it's a faux leather strap but sure smells like leather and IMO probably the most comfortable strap I have ever had on my wrist. I stuck it under every ones nose and we all think leather. Maybe part of it is the rest mane made This will probably get gifted in the future but I think I am going to wear it out a few times maybe it will grow on me.

"Totally BLUE my mind" said the mouse who typed away with ten little mouse fingers, borrowing shamefully from his friend, @ScottyB , who had borrowed his girlfriend's laptop to exchange notes with his WIT buddies. He wondered about that 'other site," where insults flew like tiny little barbs, 24/7 and almost out of control. It made him MAD Magazine mad, when they did that over there. "Bunch of Senior high drop-outs," he thought. "Oh well," he mused, "karma will win in the end." But he wondered. Really wondered. Like this upscale bar he was in...did they all REALLY all know his name, or had that just been a scam? And his dog, 'Killer Sam the Jiu Jitsue Dog.' As usual, busty-laden, green-eyed lady came to his table to get his drink.

"Dang, this just isn't RIGHT," he thought, not long after she'd come to the table ans called HIM "Mr. Ingletwerp" and his pup "Sideboob," both of which were stupidly wrong. And why did the mouse choose ME as the SOB who hijacks the thread? Why not @johnro6659 ? After ALL, it was JOHNRO's thread! 'Dang it!! Why did it always have to be HIM, for cripes' sake?' he thought, growing ever more frustrated. He supposed he'd find out sooner or later, but, in the meantime, he had some darts to throw and some cash to win!! Dang the inconvenience of it all... ---SIGH---

Even though this is a cheapie I am beginning to like it, everyone who has seen it loves it. It's funny I can wear a watch that costs 100 or 1000 times the price and not a peep. I wear something like this and people go nuts! :banghead: I guess when there is only a small percent of the population that really knows watches to the non collectors looks counts more than quality, brand or price. I have bought a lot of cheap watches for the day when I forget to put one on and a few I have kept the rest gets gifted. This might just have found a home.

I was actually wonder about this yesterday, how many people wear a watch on a daily basis? I try too, but am not always successful. The I Phone and Apple watch would not stop me from wearing a work of art on my wrist.

Dude, you should absolutely keep this watch, I LOVE the dial color and sunray pattern!!
That blue strap is the cherry on top!

Maybe those people are the smart ones. If it tells good time and looks good, who care about "brand" or it not being a price rip-off.

Nice Bleu quick pick John...I've always said nobody but another watch freek pays any attention to what's on your wrist...the few tymes anybody has commented on a watch I was wearing was when it was one of my honking Androids or Invictas just because of the size... :dunno:

Exactly, The only watch I ever wore was a Rolex that people really recognized by brand and that was only because they plaster the world with advertizing. The worst part was most asked if it it was a real Rolex! I was asked once what kind of watch i was wearing and at the time i had just gotten my Hublot Big Bang. When I told them the name they asked if it was a good watch. :banghead:

I loved this back in the day.

Oh, man, soooo did I!! Unfortunately, the vast majority of my lady-friends did not! Some called it "cloying," others said it was outright "CREEPY, like embalming fluid number FOUR," which I'd never smelt, but SHE had, so the mouse was outta da house in very, very short order, along with my Jovan "Musk," "Chanel for Men," and various & sundry scents and colognes, to include ***SNIFF-SNIIIIIFFFF*** GREY FLANNEL eau de toilette!!

Here's one my former friends will certainly make fun of: we used to call our outer circle of protective aircraft by various titles, not the least of which was "SUCAP," or "Surface Force Protection." If SUCAP failed in its mission of keeping attack craft and/or their missiles away from the battle group's outer perimeters, we used to call that particular guy a "Linda Ronstadt." WHY? You ask? "Because," we'd tell the guy, "THAT guy (or missile) Bleu Bayou and got away before you could get another bird after him!!" (Now I'm sure the snotnose brigade will call this an out-and-out lie, but who cares? They weren't THERE and I WAS!!)
