Lag when posting

I have it pop up occasionally. It happens when more than 30 processes run at once, and that could be any 30 processes throughout the forum. Those that post often are likely to see it more often. The orange bar will run indicating your process is waiting until it catches up and then will complete the process and make the post.

I hope it's just me. There seems to be bad lag going on all day. Seems to come and go with an orange bar shooting across the top of the site.

I checked a dozen different sites on three devices. They all worked fine except this one.

That was quick
Not much of a test just typing a few words. it usually happens when making post with images, etc.. At the same time every morning the site also goes down for a few minutes. Right now it is working fine, but it happens.

I haven't any issues.

Pearl accessories never go out of style, take it from the Pearl-spotted Owlet (Glaucidium perlatum)! Named for its white-speckled pattern, this bird of prey has a wide range across Africa where it might be spotted in countries such as Botswana, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. The owlet lives in a variety of habitats including grasslands, savannas, and forests, where it feeds on arthropods, small birds, bats, and lizards.

The site down every morning is due to the database backup. I have that run the same time everyday. Not sure about the loading issue. Haven't seen any issues that would indicate that problem.

Yeah I figured you were razzing around hence my tongue in cheek response. Anyhow, it wasn't doing it when you "tested" it Bill. I figured the downtime every morning has something to do with maintenance because it's like clockwork.

Yeah, IT is the backbone of all we do now. Especially a Radiology practice. I have gigabit speed at home. We have the luxury of having a great IT contract, who configured our workstations with 3 partitions for the hospital and both practices [we merged with another practice and sold to a private equity last year for 75% cash and 25% shares, but we must stay 5 yrs or until age 65 to keep it all]. We were getting crappy VPN speeds of under 100Mbps. It was upgraded, but still not lightning fast. After the merger, it was upgraded again [Big Leaf, I think]. Not bad speeds, between 150 and 200 Mbps, but one day it got snail slow to 5 Mbps. I restarted my modem and computer and still the same. Since our old IT contract was canceled, but still around in limited capacity for a while, most help calls are almost as bad as the hospital [no help, just a 'ticket' and a promise to fix in the future]. I was told it's probably MY ISP. I started an email campaign with the the local docs and proved it was widespread over at least 4 townships. They fixed it in two days and it WAS an issue with Big Leaf, although their website claims that they monitor this stuff with all clients. Then two days later, same snail speed. Yep, another issue with Big Leaf VPN stuff. The fix now gives speeds between 190 and 290 Mbps, which ain't bad, but my wireless iPhone and 4 year old iPad is 3 times faster than the expensive hard wired VPN. But hey, private equity can save probably 0.001% and skimp on a new national IT service, where foreigners read from a list what what they should be doing to solve a problem, the sending it to the next service level when it fails to fix the issue, and the downtime losses more money than the savings. Heck the issue before last, I actually told the guy what he needed to do, but he did not do it. A 5 minute fix turned into an hour on the phone, because he did not listen, even though I explained that we had the issue before, and how he could fix it.
