To any of you other WITs that have listed watches for sale. Do you get PMs with offers and when you reply to accept, you never hear from the person again. I've gotten a few and it just seems strange.

Yes. You should always set a time limit on buy confirmation and PayPal transactions. If you don’t hear, you move on. To be honest it’s one of the reasons I only sell on eBay now.

I just sold one on eBay (or so I thought) but the guy never paid or responded to messages.
Guess I'll have to relist it now.

Yea that and a sale on ebay that doesnt get paid p's me off. I always say that money in hand gets the sale...I think Confucius say that too

When a buyer posts, or PM's, I'll take it and then doesn't pay, it's called a welch. Welchers are frowned upon just about everywhere I've been a member. In fact, many forum sales area's will ban a welcher if they don't make good on the deal they agreed to.

To add to this. I had one guy make an offer. I immediately messaged him back accepting his offer. Then I got no reply. A week or so later, I sold the watch to somebody else. Then, 2 weeks after the first guy's offer, he messages me back saying he's been busy and now he's ready to buy it. WTF? People are strange.

I found it's easier to sell a watch in person. They see the watch firsthand and the cash is up front. The process is slower, but it works for me and I have no complaints.

yep, ive received offers, ive accepted, been told payment will be there by tomorrow, and never hear from them again....

Don't know why some folks act this way. Integrity seems to be on the decline out there... :nono:
