I "Chased" This For Over Ten Years

Burn Notice's Jeffery Donovan as Michael Weston Chase Durer Special Forces 1000XL UDT watch. I have been interested in that watch since watching the show when it originally aired, but nowadays they are hard to find, with some eBay sellers asking over $1000 for ones that are usually beat up pretty badly. Happened across this one in very, very good condition with only a few scuffs in the PVD on the bezel that are really only noticeable under the macro. The rest of the watch looks practically new. Seller was asking a fraction of the usual going rate "or best offer." Made an offer that he accepted and voila, I have Jeffery Donovan's watch for a steal! Pretty cool ETA 251.262 seven-hand quartz movement with an actual traveler's adjustment for the hour hand that is running perfectly.

Here's a few pics. I'll touch up the dings with an artist's extra fine tip paint pen that I keep for PVD finishes:

After looking at the above macro shot and then my magnifying lens, all of the stuff between 5 and 20 minutes on the bezel minute markers is lint and wiped right off! :up:
 
I love it!!! I had a Chase CDW-0001 I gave it away, traded or sold it for some reason I forget. Later I regretted it and have been trying to find one of these for a reasonable price. The Ebay prices have been IMO quite high and I think because of the show Burn Notice. I have seen the other ones here and there pretty cheap but not the black IP one.

I guess nothing to do now but check the battery bi-annually to prevent a bad acid trip

I always liked the CHASE DURER- BURN NOTICE story also

maybe now enjoy what you got

and I will try to listen to my own advice as I track many incomings from china " beating the tariffs " but any excuse will do it

when an addict gets to pull the trigger

- " patience " like you showed can't say I done that...mostly my beast likes the red meat of impulse -buy,sell,flip,give, obey the voices NOW !

Thanks. Very satisfying experience. Didn't pull the trigger until now since I wasn't willing to pay over a certain amount, and what was out there was either ridiculously overpriced, or beat up, or both.
