H2O GREEN OCEAN MOKUME GANE with sunburst black dial and the black-2-blue dial
I thought about dropping the black-2-blue dial for this model, but maybe this is a great option too.

Such beautiulnesses...I can't make up my mind as to which is my favorite: the white dial with copper colored bezel, or the black dial with the copper colored bezel! Either way, the watch looks like they trapped a drop of water at each quarter hour. It's rare that a watch reaches this type of visual perfection, from colors and shapes to hands and hour markers. THIS one's a TEN. 😎

Not only is the whale shark (Rhincodon typus) the world’s largest shark—it’s also the world’s largest fish! Growing up to 40 ft (12 m) long and weighing more than 40,000 lbs (18,144 kg), it’s often regarded as a gentle giant. Don’t be alarmed by its colossal mouth: This slow-moving species is a filter feeder, gulping down small marine animals like shrimp and plankton. It can be spotted in warm waters around the world, traveling thousands of miles each year to find food.

After the H2O KALMAR 2 MOKUME GANE is nearly sold out we recognized that there is lots of interest into this cunique colorful MOKUME GANE material and decided to offer again this material in our new watch series, the H2O GREEN OCEAN MOKUME GANE.

Even though the H2O GREEN OCEAN MOKUME GANE is a dive watch same as our KALMAR 2 series including screw down crown, wide display case back and ETA 2824 movement - its approach is totally different. For the H2O GREEN OCEAN MOKUME GANE we focussed on a perfectly weararble dive watch with just 12.70mm height and 51mm L2L length. This watch will fit every wrist without compromise! With 45mm bezel diameter and 42.30mm case diameter the watch has a prominent appearance on the wrist, but with just 51mm length it stays comfortably on your wrist.

1,090 EUR - not a bad price. I paid 1,199 EUR for my Timascus version and love the watch. I like the look of the sapphire bezel - that would look nice on a SS version. But if I was ordering this piece, I'd go with the MG bezel and the black to blue dial. But 90% sure I'll be on the sidelines since I already have this model in Timascus and already have a MG K2.

I like the lume dial/ MG bezel version alot. I'm not 100% sure how I feel about the homage factor here as it is a Breitling SOH 57 homage. For some reason mentally I'd have a better time with it has a helberg. Helberg was set up to be the homage brand and H2O was supposed to be the boutique diver. Never the less this gives me a much better size at a much better price than the Breitling and I've always wanted to add an MG piece.

temptation......

how do you have a model call the green ocean, release a version of it on St Patrick's day and not offer a green dial? Even the previous version didn't have a green dial right?
That is correct Gavin - the previous version only offered a black-to-blue, black or timascus dial options. I agree - a green dial would look great with the MG and be the perfect offering for a St Paddy's day release. This is the lowest price that I remember seeing on an H2o mokume gane model. I did notice that the buckle is listed as SS (would have been nice if it was MG). I love my Timascus version of the Green Ocean.

Rob, your Timascus is a thing of beauty. Glad to hear how much you enjoy it. Despite how cool those striations are I wasn't drawn to that release. But MG watches have always caught my eye. And this one is priced nicely. Some time back Clemens had a great deal on DLC K2s with a MG bezel. Thought seriously about one of those but waited too long.

A SS buckle kinda stinks, I'm sure it helps keep the costs down though. Cause the attractive price will make many jump here. If I saw it was another $200-400 but had the buckle I'd be less inclined to buy and certainly less impressed by the "deal." In the past Clemens has quoted me over $300 for a Hydra bezel in MG so I'd guess a buckle would be in that $400 range. Honestly just going bronze might be a better look.
