Greetings Watch World

Greetings, and salutations! Welcome aboard! It's great to have you with us. Come on in, and enjoy the company of a lot of fine folks who love watches. I hope you have a marvelous time here! Enjoy, my friend!

It's wonderful to meet someone who puts the crypt in "Cryptshire." (Soooo, using my somewhat stodgy-but-occasionally-useful understanding of Old English -- or "Auld Angleash," for those of you whose queen wears lead-based makeup -- you're Hathaway, of Crypt Shire {or Crypt Castle}; or, it's possible that you might be the Shire's Reeve, but since "Reeve" doesn't appear in your title, you are almost certainly THE Castle's Head Dude...but I digress.)

ANYWAY, welcome to WIT, the internet's finest-yet-really-laid-back watch forum!! As you noted, some of the dialog here hits the funny bone from time to time, but it's all in good fun. Many of us here have experienced some not-so-hot times at "other" sites, where there are always deep-flowing and long-lasting agendas that are easy to trip over and get you in trouble. WIT does not operate in that manner; each of us respects each other, and, of equal importance, IMHO, each of us respects each others' watch selections. In other words, there are no "in" or "out" brands here; if one of us doesn't care for a watch that you may love, the vast majority of the time, that person will stick to grandma's old maxim to "say something nice or say nothing at all." Or they'll just tell you why they don't care for that item based on experience, as opposed to their simply hating this or that brand. Again, it all just comes down to mutual respect.

Likewise, there are no cliques or 'sub-groups' here; just as it is with a given watch brand, there are no "in" or "out" members at WIT. Trust me; I've been in some of these goofball sites, and it's amazing what they'll pull on their members. (It's like North Korea sometimes!) I even have my very own stalker who owns one of those "other sites." And that's 'nough said about the snotnose brigade...they're all full of :poop:, anyway.

Bottom line: we are ALL very glad you've chosen to be here with us! Pull up a deck chair or chaise lounger. Grab a towel & an umbrella drink. And stretch out at poolside to enjoy all those lovely timepieces on the various and sundry wrists about town! Or just dive in and start typing! And, again, welcome home to Watchintyme!
