Greetings from PITOT watches

Wow! Am I looking forward to seeing your products! I'm a retired USN Aviator who started his career in A-7E Corsair II's (AKA "The SLUF"), after which I transitioned to the F/A-18C. I guess I qualify as being officially one of those old fart pilots who get all misty-eyed and agog over my SLUF(F) days, but rarely think of the "gadget-laden" Hornet. Still, it was quite the upgrade! And that's about as far as I guess I should go; I once got thrown off a watch site because I talked too much about the Navy and my career therein, so I'm very gun-shy about mentioning it too much, especially since that site now goes around telling people that I'm a fake, engaging in "stolen valor."

I mention all of this by way of telling you that WIT does NOT ever engage in this type of behavior, nor do we prove our leadership in the watch world by engaging in personal attacks and smear campaigning. There are no "preferred" nor "prohibited" brands here; at WIT, the most important thing is how much you, the individual member, are enjoying this or that watch, while perhaps not enjoying a third one too much. Bottom line: We respect each other and each others' watch choices. If there's something we don't like about a given watch or brand, we spell it out respectfully, and do NOT go on the attack.

For those of us who purchase your products, we will give you an honest, objective assessment of the timepiece, and provide you with the appropriate feedback, as time permits. Oh, and if you have a TERIFFIC product? We'll sing your praises to the hills and beyond! In the end, WIT truly IS "a safe, well-lighted place" in which to enjoy this shared hobby (read: obsession) we all share. WELCOME ABOARD! We're very glad you're here! (y)
V/R,
Don

PS - Your official callsign for WIT is now "Tube." ;)

Welcome to the Forum, would Luv to see an F 15 in there also.
The F-15 inspired watch would be a pleasure to do - it's on my list :) The next one will be the F/A-18 Super Hornet-inspired watch in 3 colors edition: The Original green dial, Top Gun: Maverick, and the Blue Angels, all with swiss movement and in titanium. I'm working with a new designer on this, formerly been with the swatch group.IMG_20210717_112109.jpg

Thank you very much for your kind and honest words :) Maybe that "Tube" name will stick know forever ;) I guess it is a good match!

I'm sorry I reply late, to be honest, I have been very busy getting all the pieces in the puzzle to fit and also get the economy going. Corona did not make it easy also!
We already did a design of the F/A-18 Hornet but decided at the last minute to change to a new design for the F/A-18 Super Hornet since they fly the Super Hornet in the new Top Gun: Maverick movie, and it would be a good time to release close to that one. I have attached F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet design :)
The crown on the Super Hornet is inspired by the Jettison selector button in the cockpit to release the different loads on the pylon station. Subdials button inspired by the exhaust. The wing profile has inspired the front design near the rubber strap attachment, and the small bend, inspired by the foldable wingtips when onboard carrierships :)
We gonna do the F/A-18 Super Hornet then F-16 is planned.
Kindly regards "Tube"

Hey, Tube! Welcome back!!

I actually have about 250 hrs in the single seat Super Hornet (F/A-18E), so I'm certainly looking forward to seeing it come over the horizon! The above shots are amazing!
W/R, "Sammy" (My last name is Davis, and I'm a junior, so I got "Sammy" for a callsign...)

Hi Sammy! Thank you very much! I must admit this watch is made for you then! I design my watches for all the people behind the planes - It takes a lot of staff to keep them on the wings and I want to connect the fighter jets with all the people served on these with a watch.
The Super Hornet comes also in a Blue Angels edition - I would love to make a cooperation with the Blue Angels name on the dial and royalties, but when I write I don't get any response, I'm not Citizen or Breitling, so too small for them I think ;) If anyone has connections, then maybe? Never Know :)

I somehow missed this. Never knew this brand existed. They look pretty good. đź‘Ť
I have been working on these since 2018 - Next week the first 300 F-14 watches arrive from Germany, then we can start sending out all the watches backed by crowd funders and preorders - Meanwhile, waiting for the first F-14 watches, we have been designing the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Hornet - soon we gonna make small crowdfunding on Indiegogo for 10-12 fast and lucky people to fund the prototype of the Super Hornet with a low price and VIP membership! Later we gonna make a big campaign on Kickstarter with a reduced price to fund the production of the three F/A-18 Super Hornet models.

I love that green version, as my second squadron (VFA-195 DAMBUSTERS) had green as one of their primary colors (as can be seen in the unfortunately-backwards photo above)! As far as an "in" to the Blue Angels, Stan Betesh, owner of Deep Blue, had a series - I think they were called "Air Blue," or some such thing? - that included the Blue Angels. I personally don't know how to get uin touch with him, but he would certainly know about licensing and all that...

The green version is heavily inspired by the cockpit overall colors from flight instrument - It is also the first edition and the original we designed, then another color combo came. I just had a look at Deep Blue and I can see they have used both Thunderbirds and Blue Angels logo as officially licensed on the dial, so there is hope we can have the logo on that dial too :) Thank you for the tip!!

I received the watches by picking them up myself in Germany, a 10-hour drive both ways from Denmark. It was worth the trip, the watches look amazing. After 3 1/2 half years from idea to the stock product! The road to the product was full of obstacles, including marriage problems, cancer, corona, economy and production delays, next watch will be so much easier :) What do you think?
