From the Special Projects Division. What do you think of this cherry blossom dial? Would change bezel to dual time.

you gotta go more for the KAIZEN FLAVOR like GS is doing IMHO...it's a pattern that captures the essence rather than a pictorial facsimile

cherry blossom festival is holy, primal, shinto experience in land of the rising sun...would be hard to make a dial capturing that spirit without studying that history JMHO

No marking on bezel would look even better
that's a clash...but there are no indices on dial so tough to read the sun dial...maybe arabics on the bezel cherry enamel...i dunno ..not feeling the project...honestly they gotta go to the factory in china where WING-EISHAN TANG and all them are getting their paint jobs

gotta speak mandarin and not fall for a net con

get that fume-degrade-or scratch paint in cherry/pinkish/whitish... get a couple renderings...not just a picture of cherry blossoms

gotta take the jet from JFK to SHANGHAI and get a MANDARIN guide... a few years ago you needed to "present" a swiss watch to get business done...pretty sure that was outlawed in china 5 years ago ...swiss watches took a hit

the GRAND SEIKOS evoke the "feel" of the event or natural rhythm of seasons...e.g. forest, falling snow

rather than a "pictorial" rendering like a KODACK ...tough colors to blend... pagoda-cherry blossom-blue sky

also not an image that resonates with many americans...aside from me are there a lotta wits who care about the religious resonance of the japanese cherry blossom festival ? i mean that is all sun god empower-pantheist -shinto-buddhist-animist religion... not a part of judo-christian culture except as "art"

all JMHO...I BEEN WORNG PLENTY tymes in my life...my advice worth what u paid...good luck MARC ! hope u say to me I told u so when u hit it out of the park
