Family dog decided to checkout on us with kidney problems. Wife is tore up. I was doing ok till I dropped a piece of food on the floor and realized the dog isn't there to clean my mess. The gloom is thick in the house. Dog was constantly under my feet when I ate and I hated it. Now I miss it.

As said above, I hear you. It really sucks, we get it. Remember the good times and treasure those memories. You gave him a good life and he was a happy little food scrap vacuum.

Sorry for your loss.:(
Losing the family "Friend" is never easy, I've lost several but each one touched our lives in a different way.
Their personalities were always different & I have fond memories of them. They live here now:❤️

"man's best friend " is a close strong bond going back at least 30,000 years

at first cannus scavenged man's dumps... gradually dogs took scraps... then by hand

and man subbed himself as master for the alpha male of the pack...dogs left alone need prozac...no lie

that is a hurt BBH... i feel you and condolences

I'm so sorry to hear this bro. My older guy passed on us right before Christmas and it is devastating. You know its going to happed from the minute you bring them into your family but just have to try to remember that the positive time spent together so outweighs the heartache at the end.

My he rest in peace and may your family remember the years spent together in joy and may you all heal quickly.

I know your pain, and feeling of loss. Your memories will always be with you, and hopefully after crossing the rainbow bridge your pup is in a better, pain free place. Good thoughts your way.

This is very sad news. I’m glad you had a lot of good years with the dog though. Losing your dog is almost as hard as losing a family member in fact you kind of are. Hang in there it will get better.

Sorry for your loss........there are many overrun animal shelters right now perhaps you and your wife should visit together........
