For those of us who sell on eBay we no longer have to pay the 3% PayPal fee. yeah! eBay will deposit directly into your bank account minus it's fees of course. This will save me quite a bit with my upcoming watch sales. Plus eBay is giving me $15 for signing up. I got an invitation email so watch for yours if you do a lot of eBay selling.

I have three watches and a strap plus a couple other items at auction right now so this could not have come at a better time.

Negative, bud. You will now pay ebay the same fees, and they will subtract from the total they deposit in your account. Still 13% combined of..... sale price, shipping price... AND any taxes the buyer pays, that you have nothing to do with.

I tried to opt out this morning but was told eBay contract with PayPal expired and ALL seller accounts will be switched over to managed payments. The good news is since my listings already had bids they will process the old way through PayPal and I still get my $15 sign on bonus.

I have yet to switch over, however it's probably going to be better for sellers. It's basically the same exact selling fees, but eBay forces both buyers and sellers to follow eBay policy, while PayPal seems to do whatever they want. They operate in a gray area and have screwed me over as a seller When Buyers went against eBay policy (ie refusal of package), simply because PayPal didn't want to have to deal with the issue.
