Well, from what I can gather, Made in Germany does mean something, but perhaps not quite what one might expect it to mean considering the use of the word 'made'. Regardless, it is a solid watch this one, the best that I've looked at from the brand. But who was responsible for those indices?! Cheers, Jody

The new SPORT PROFESSIONAL series adds another innovative variant to the popular MARC & SONS Professional watch series. In close cooperation with a select group of watch enthusiasts, an independent and striking watch model was created. A sporty technical design combined with the functionality of a classic diver's watch distinguish this model. MARC & SONS would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have influenced the development of this unique watch with their feedback.

The case

The robust and elegant stainless steel case has a diameter of 42.5 mm. The cambered Sapphire glass has a double-sided anti-reflective coating that is unique in this price range. The watch is pressure 30 ATM pressure-tested, which corresponds to 300 metres. The precisely aligned diver's bezel, which can be rotated unidirectionally with defined resistance, has a matte black ceramic inlay.

The movement

This watch is powered by an automatic movement from the Swiss company Sellita. The movement SW200-1 has a stop-second and a date quick-change. The movement is considered robust and is known for its precise and reliable operation. Before installation, the movement is subjected to a fine adjustment by our experienced watchmakers.

Dial and hands

The Yellow Black Ceramic model has a clearly structured black dial with a discreet sunburst finish. 3D indexes, a bevelled yellow rhombus, applied luminescent numerals and distinctive grooves give the dial depth and a noble appearance. The date window is located at the 6 o'clock position without disturbing the harmony of the dial. The yellow colour accents of the minute and second hands underline the sporty character of this elegant-looking automatic watch.

The luminous material

The indexes and numerals of the dial as well as the hands are marked with Superluminova BGW9 luminous material. This innovative and powerful luminous material is manufactured in Switzerland. Indexes, numerals and hands glow for a long time in a discreet shade of blue. This ensures good readability in the dark.

Bracelet and buckle

The Yellow Black Ceramic model has a satin-finished three-link bracelet made of 316L stainless steel. The bracelet links are screwed together. The solid stainless steel folding clasp has a diving extension with fine adjustment. This is easily done by pressing the pusher on the side of the clasp and extends the bracelet by up to 14.0 mm.

They look (y)
nice legalistic tutorial on " MADE IN " and " VALUE ADDED COMPONENT "

always wanted MADE IN GERMANY @ 6

for any wit having trouble sleeping...ROME conquered BRITAIN...but never GERMANY...ROME got massacred 4 legion slaughter at TUTERBORG FOREST...GERMANS were geniuses with metallurgy, fought naked, and towered over romans

they always made good stuff

MARK AND SONS is good value...AMERCIANS GET TO STRIP THE VAT JACK

THE USD is strong against the euro...JAY POWELL RAISING INTEREST RATES LIKE A HAWK

even though the diver is "only" 42mm it's big, thick, and heavy maybe an action tool for our gorilla wristed wits

gonna check out MARK & SONS...this one is a little heavy for me almost 200gms but i like the quality and around $500 use I want to explore MARK AND SONS and get a MADE IN GERMANY @ 6

WHY ?

because desire to accumulate is endless and just a part of human evolutionary DNA... giant brain, no fur, walk upright on 2 legs, kill and eat everything that moves, buy a ton of watches

Nice pieces. I could care less where a watch is made. I just want one that is well made, good CS and easy resolutions to any issues
