My grandmother used to do a lot of that stuff while she was still here. Everything she made was from scratch and organic off their farm. I don't know how she done it, but she cooked the best tasting food I've ever had. She always had tomatoes and other stuff in jars that she pressure cooked. Her Christmas peanut butter fudge was like an orgasm. Even her tea tasted better. Sometimes when I make tea, I think of her and wonder why mine doesn't taste like hers. She would go to the woods at the back of the farm and come back with a bag of morel mushrooms. She called it mushroom hunting. They grow in the wild for only a certain amount of time every year and she would fry them and smother them in some sort of runny gravy that I could never get enough of. I miss her and her cooking.
