Well I received my Millipede Max with the blue dial last week. However the clasp when folder over just would not lock. I called Aragon and was advised that they will send a new clasp out and I need to return the old once I received the new one. So when I do received the new one I've got to take off the old one myself to install the new one. I asked if I could just send it back for a new Millipede Max same Blue dial but she was not going for that at all.

Pretty stupid you gotta send the bad clasp back. I mean what's it worth? Are they gonna throw the bad clasp in the trash like I would?

Plus, when you think about it, the average person wouldn't know how to change the clasp nor more than likely have the tools needed to do it without messing up some of the band or clasp. Hell, most have to go to a watch shop to have bracelets sized or a battery replaced.

So Aragon thinks it's ok to have a customer be required to replace the clasp? Really? And, is their profit margin that bad that they need a roughly $7.00 (Aliexpress has a similar one that is about that cost with shipping) piece back? And, that is for buying just one. In bulk, they're probably $3 to $5 if that.

So, this would end up costing someone to replace it and, if Aragon didnt pick up return shipping, have it sent back.

Very poor customer service imo.

Yes you are correct! I have all my watches size at a shop and have to pay for it, now I'll have to pay extra for the clasp. This is the second time that I had a problem with and Aragon. The first time I said that I was not going to purchase another one due to poor customer service. I had to keep calling them to send me a return label. I even posted that on here and Wang responded saying that he would take care pf it. Well guess what I never heard from him. I said that I wasn't going to buy another however I ended up buying 7 or 10 more since then including about 3 weeks ago I purchased an EVO 4 l which is waiting to be sized.

Get ya a watch tool kit man. You've got enough watches to easily justify getting a kit and sizing watches yourself. 👍🪛🔨🧰

As for the very poor c service, I just recently received a Phoibos Voyager PY035F.
It arrived broken/not working/DOA. When I notified them their reply was 1. to send pics of the box it came in.
2. "Send a video of the problem they need to diagnose the problem first and will provide a proper solution after checking it" whatever that means.
3. "Please refer to the following instructions about winding and wear more than 8 hours everyday to observe". Again What ???
This instruction instructs me to" turn the crown 50-60 times/completely around. Every round should be 360 degrees and the speed should be one round every second. So it needs 50-55 seconds to finish the process".
"If this doesn't work, please contact us again. We will proceed with other solutions for you.
My email just prior to this reply informed them that the watch wasn't running, it wasn't keeping time after I wound the watch my typiical routine of 20-25 times.. I asked for a prepaid mailer or some sort of refund for mailing it back and the full cost of the watc. The prepaid mailer was denied.
I sent it back this morning and notified them along with the tracking number. I have a few Phoibos watches and enjoy the ones I have but I don't think I'll be looking to add anymore at least for a while. This GO ROUND has been nuts. Photos and videos for a watch that's dead, not moving, WHY?

I just had the same issue with a Glycine. It was running super slow. Roughly 5 hours when I saw it the next morning. They wanted a video of the issue. How do you video a watch running slow like that. I am still waiting for my refund from Ashford. They like to stretch it out as long as they can.

I had to do the same thing for Pascal for a bad trinket I received from him. He wanted me to send a video of the problem, so I did. I showed him me winding the trinket and nothing happened. When he saw that he sent me a prepaid return label.

I always like to document things anyhow for my case when I state it with my CC company or PP. They could see that I made the attempts that were asked of me the process seemed to weigh in my favor. The burden of proof falls back on them and there is not much the other side can do to strengthen their case after I've hurdled all of the hoops.

I try to look at it from both sides and oblige with a request if I can. They can be scammed sometimes as well. Very few vendors, if any at all are like Elshan from ZELOS..

That's not a great solution to the issue but I do have a few feels on it. I do think an avid collector should invest in a basic tool kit for situations like this provided the eyes and hands can do the work....that saves lots of $ over time. I do think it's silly to send back the old one unless they are providing the return label. I wouldn't send the old one back unless they provided it or just tell them to send me a return for the whole watch. I do get that they want video so they don't get scammed. I'm sure they get screwed from time to time. I've been lucky to not have had issues with them in the past but their quality and these stories have kept me from going back. Did you tell them that their solution was not acceptable? I have found that being firm yet fair and very polite while doing so often pays dividends. I'm always extremely polite but will tell them their solution is not acceptable and ask if they have any other options and if not offer one+ of my own that are fair for both parties. Good CS seems hard to come by anymore in all facets of life. It sure is frustrating

I understand that some just don't even attempt some things that may seem simple to others. I know some people who only know where the key and gas goes on a vehicle. If I bring out a tool kit in front of them they look like it came from another planet. Even if I attempt to show them while I do things they would just rather not try it.

I can still do most of the sizing, etc and battery changes, but with tiny screws, certain pin and collars or a stubborn spring bar I let my watch guy do it... $10 bucks is a small price to pay rather than losing parts or damaging the watch.

Mike I know you to be the voice of reason but...
A still picture of the box it came in? Another one of a watch that isn't running, as I previously told him/her.
A video again of what, I by the way I don't have a video camera anymore. I gave it away after my 3rd or 4th wedding anniversary.

I'm on your side and I agree with your logic. Even a quick video from a mobile device of the box and a non-running trinket will aid your case and put the ball back in their court.

I don't know how you paid by CC or PP, but I would file a charge back on them. If they are being hardheaded about things and cut ties with buying from them again.

I know what you are saying, I thought the same at thing at first until Mike mentioned the video showing you winding the watch as asked and showing it does not run...

Always appreciate the advice Mike. It was PP and so far they are helping me clean this problem up.
Thanks again.
