The Heinrich Helicoprion aka "Buzzsaw" combines robustness and elegance in its own way in a sports watch. The watch is Heinrich's unique interpretation of the so-called spiral saw shark Helicoprion and the Buzzsaw dial watches from the seventies by Universal Genève or Jaeger-LeCoultre, for example.

The distinctive "buzzsaw" dial with circular brushing, outer minute markers as well as additional minute markers in ascending size ensure creative aesthetics and perfect readability. The screw-down bezel with polished edges integrates the robust character of this elegant sports watch and dares to be different.

With its screw-down crown and 200m water resistance, the watch remains true to the Heinrich DNA of the previous Taucher models.

I really enjoyed the original Helicoprion from Heinrich Watches and these two new variants offer genuine gemstone dials. I share my thoughts after spending a week on the wrist with thes two watches.

The inspiration​

The use of gemstones in dials became particularly popular in the 1970s by luxury brands such as Rolex and Piaget, when the desire for individuality and exclusive design increased.

In keeping with our brand philosophy, we are bringing back this era with this limited series of Helicoprion with 2 different gemstone dials made of genuine carnelian and lapis lazuli.

Carnelian is typically orange to reddish-brown in color. Its color results from iron oxides in the stone. Carnelian stands for energy, creativity and vitality. Lapis lazuli is deep blue, often with gold-colored pyrite inclusions and occasionally white calcite veins.

Each dial is unique and captivates with the natural colors and patterns of the gemstone
