Actually it was 9, but 3 were off camera.

well they got blowed over not rolled over from driver fault ...mighta been helpful if the announcer instead of giggling and saying his " favorite parts " watchin' a man climb out the cab in fear of his life...

if they had focused on the windspeed... I guess 40-80mph wind are needed to blow over a semi ?

really scary and I would treat the event with the dignity and gravity it warrants

The highest wind gusts recorded at the Faribault Municipal Airport Tuesday were around 45 mph, according to the NWS.

Blizzard-like conditions were moving from the West into the High Plains Tuesday, bringing sustained winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Meanwhile, thunderstorms bringing hail and the possibility of tornadoes pushed into the Twin Cities area early Tuesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service has issued Wind Advisories across the Northern Plains until later this week.

The NWS Office in Duluth, Minnesota said gusts up to 45 mph are expected across Minnesota through Wednesday morning.

In North Dakota, High Wind Warnings are in effect for the state's northeast region along the Minnesota state border. The warning is in effect until 1 a.m. Friday as forecasters are predicting westerly winds between 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

GOODLAND, Kan. (WIBW) - Heavy winds were being blamed for a pair of semi-trailer crashes after the rigs were blown over Wednesday on Interstate 70 in Thomas County in western Kansas.

• The first crash was reported at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on I-70 about 20 miles east of Goodland.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says that a 2022 International semitrailer was headed east on I-70 when it was blown over by the wind.

The rig came to rest on its right side in the south ditch of I-70.

The driver, Patrick A. Desorme, 29, of Kansas City, Mo., was transported to Citizens Medical Center in Colby for treatment of suspected minor injuries.

Desorme, who was alone in the semitrailer, was wearing his seat belt, the patrol said.

• The second wind-related semi crash was reported at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday on I-70 in nearly the exact location as the previous incident, about 20 miles east of Goodland.

In the second crash, a 2016 Freighliner semi was westbound on I-70 when it rolled onto its side because of the wind, authorities said.

The driver, Jose D.J. Ramirez-Gomez, 30, was transported to Citizens Medical Center in Colby for treatment of possible injuries. The patrol said Ramirez-Gomez was wearing a seat belt

A passenger in the semi, Jesus M. Lopez-Minjarez, 46, also was taken to Citizens Medical Center in Colby for treatment of possible injuries. The patrol said Lopez-Minjarez was wearing his seat belt.

The patrol’s online crash log didn’t indicate a city of residence for either Ramirez-Gomez or Lopez-Minjarez.

FREAK MOTORCYCLE CRASH TAKES LIFE OF RUSK WOMAN, INJURES HER HUSBAND

Apr 17, 2022

Just before 6 pm Easter Sunday a male and his wife were heading north on I-69 just past Roman Forest Drive when the rear tire of his 2007 Yamaha motorcycle separated causing him to lose control and crash. Tire parts were found just over 300-yards prior to the resting place of the motorcycle. An off-duty paramedic was on the scene and started life-saving efforts almost immediately. However, the 45-year-old female from Rusk, Texas was pronounced deceased on the scene. Her husband was transported in stable condition to Kingwood Hospital. Neither were wearing helmets. The freeway was closed for almost 2-hours as DPS investigated. Roman Forest, Montgomery County Sheriff, Patton Village, and Splendora assisted with traffic control as did TxDOT. The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office is also assisting in the investigation. It was determined the driver of the motorcycle had no insurance, expired registration, and a suspended driver's license. Montgomery County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack responded to the scene for the inquest and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.

Just before 4 pm, Walker County dispatchers received a call of a head-on crash on Highway 75 just north of the City of New Waverly. New Waverly, North Montgomery, and Phelps Fire units arrived on the scene to find both a Chevrolet pickup and a Chevrolet Malibu off the road, both with heavy front-end damage. The front seat passenger was deceased. The driver of the Malibu was flown by Air Medical, and two children in the vehicle were transported in critical condition to HCA Conroe. In the pickup, the driver was flown along with the front seat passenger who was pregnant. An adult and a child in the back seat were transported in critical condition to HCA Conroe. DPS investigated the crash. Witnesses say the pickup was traveling south on Highway 75 when the left rear tire blew out causing the truck to cross the center line hitting the Malibu head-on. Highway 75 reopened just after 7 pm.

That sucks! The wind can be brutal in some places even around here. When I had a Jeep I was almost blown off the road a few times and several times I was pushed into the next lane from high winds. The worse was when I was coming over the Tobin bridge on the inbound top section is about 150' high and it gets windy up there I swear one time I was pushed up on two wheels. Just yesterday when on my way home from shopping it was windy enough to push my Jag around on the highway and it low to the ground.
