This one is almost certainly not for everyone, but I found myself really wanting one of the Fortis "Art Editions" almost from the moment I first saw one. Of course, that first version was the non-chronograph, three-hand auto model, with the basic ETA 2824-2 movement, which was very clean looking without chrono markings to "busy up" the dial. However, when the chrono version came out, complete with a Valjoux 7750 onboard, it looked even better (to me, anyway). Rather than cluttering up the dial, as I might have expected, it seemed to actually complete the full picture (or "gestalt," if you prefer the more obscure, hoity-toity term). And while I'm certainly not what you'd call a "rainbow warrior," I do wear a lot of different colors, mostly by way of a fairly extensive collection of military jackets with numerous unit and command patches, so this unusual watch fits in with just about everything I might don on any given day.
Okay, time for me to shut up and let the pix do the talking:
So what do you think? Like I said, it's not for everyone, but I genuinely like it (a lot!). I'll give it a more complete write-up/review after I've had it for a while, but, in the meantime, thanks for having a look!
