Yes, there are many brands, but I'm of the feeling that Master Wing could easily design 'a few.'

And, I would be a buyer of his beautiful creations !!

Who else wants to see the Aragon 1000,2000 meter
divers ?

I was a huge fan of Android, years ago, but when he decided to go large I had to move on. I had been hoping he would go back to the sizes he used to make, after his rebranding. No such luck, It's been years since I bought an Android and looks like the pattern won't break soon.

Wing is releasing a 43 mm. timepiece, a size he hasn't done often, as one of his first releases. As well, especially launching a new brand, he has to give his market from the past what they want in the present.[br][br]I think he'll have some nice surprises going forward.[br][br][br][br]THE TOPIC IS TOOL DIVERS, but I wanted to respond[br]:) MB

yeah for some reason Wing and Eyal don't pay much attention to the TOOL section. Bet they walk right by the tool section at the home improvement stores. The 2))) meter ones get a bit heavier than I like ..[br]Stan and the rest of the tool gang laffing all the way to the bank...[br]Wing cross on over to the tool aisle....Please.

I surely wouldn't say Wing can't produce tools, in fact I'm positive he would knock one out of the park if he set his mind to it, (and I'd be )st on line to buy some if he decided to produce some 44mm or greater:D ) He just hasn't been inclined to. [br]Wing has been doing this (watch designing) for awhile and I trust his judgement in manufacturing watches for the pie slice of the market he's comfortable in while leaving the tools to the tool makers. Interesting thread topic though, and I'm curious how others feel?

what actually makes a watch a tool diver vs just a diver??

42-45 auto tool divers

saw this in a diver watch forum...I think tool is also an intangible quality, aside from a watch that has been designed for a specific purpose. Under that definition, I would say it's a watch that gives off an air of substantial ruggedness, something that seems beautiful from an engineering standpoint more so than an aesthetic one.[br][br]as a fan of rugged looking watches....for the most part...still can't see where the meter resistance as printed on the dial makes it more rugged looking ...a marketing tool at best

Here are some attributes: ISO 6425; Helium Release Valve; 2))-3))m depth; [br]rotating bezel. Basically a diver is tool that you use and there can be a[br]number characteristics that a Dive watch will offer.[br][br]You all can chime in to add to list![br][br]
what actually makes a watch a tool diver vs just a diver??
You use the functions on a Dive Watch to make it a tool diver. Don't believe there[br]is really a difference, but some will disagree. You use the functions on the Diver[br]which define it as a tool diver, and that is all. [br]
what actually makes a watch a tool diver vs just a diver??
I don't know of any written rules or definitions that distinguish a diver from a tool diver, it's more of a word of mouth accepted definition by those who are fans.[br]A diver is usually rated at a minimum of 2))m, a tool diver usually is rated deeper.[br]Some watches are labeled divers simply because they are styled/have features like a dive watch (unidirectional bezel, etc.) Tool divers usually have more functional designs (more accurate diver's scale/lume/pip on the bezel, dive suit extensions on the clasp, better lumed easier to read dials, etc.)[br]Divers are produced by just about any and all manufacturers. Tool divers tend to be produced by smaller boutique companies and in more limited runs.[br]A tool diver is one that a scuba diver could actually use like his/her other tools (dive computer, lead weight belt, swim fins, wet suit, etc.)[br]I know I'm not doing a good job explaining the difference, and I'm sure many others here can/will do a better job of describing the difference. but this is MY understanding.
