I'm feeling fine man, believe me. I vented with FedEx and let it out before going postal. They kept going back to the driver and saying they would get to the bottom. I told them truthfully, I kind of doubt the driver or someone on the street is at fault. They said they go by the scan, so they opened that can of worms. OK, well explain to me the scan attempted delivery time is 1:04pm and seven minutes later it shows at FedEx available for pickup at 1:11pm, they had no answer.

Below was the last thing Zelos said to me yesterday .... :hmm:

It seems to be moving again after several days. It shows a Friday delivery is scheduled. Thanks a lot.

FedEx is terrible. Mine left California EIGHT days ago and hasn't been updated since... Not feeling good about it.

I would be completely satisfied if the watch came in the new travel roll inside a simple cardboard box (maybe with an extra strap instead of the wooden box, but that probably costs more...). I would be more annoyed by the wooden box if this was a 500$ watch (i got two sf40 on the way), as is i will use it for storage of something else, and keep the watch in the travel case.

Could this have to do more with the courier than the factory ? I mean I’m guessing the box is also there to serve as added protection from production to end user, that said I think it may have done that part of it’s job.

Give us options on the packaging,
I’d happily pay more for the old box and more again for the option of larger / more protective packaging to protect that box from the delicate touch of FedEx etc

I'm all for Elshan trying to lower the costs of the packaging as he scales up the operations, but I'd rather have no wooden box and a different cardboard sleeve than the latest box we got. I mean, I'd be happy with the watch wrapped in bubble-wrap, don't really care about the unboxing experience.

This is how I feel. Get rid of this cheap box and either put the extra money into the watch or the case. Hell, even in Elshans pocket. Got two boxes, both came broken. Right in the trash.

Box quality was lowered as most just throw them or keep them away when polled recently. The new travel case costs more so box costs have to be lowered to offset it.

If the watch is going to come in a wooden box then that box needs to be excellent as well. A box not 100% makes me question the quality control of the watch inside. If shipping these Watches in a wood box is a problem get rid of the wood box and just ship it in the roll packaged inside a cardboard box.

Mine came with a disappointing wood box as well. With the new pouch, I would say that Elshan should get rid of the wood box and pocket that extra profit. As a customer, I didn't see any value in the box. If anything, I felt it detracted from the experience.

The old boxes and watch roll was better but they just lay in a cupboard so doesn't bother me. I have my own canvas and leather watch roll I use for travelling anyway.

I don't wear the box, but the contents are what matters. I don't understand all the sobbing about the box. Elshan maybe you should ship it in a box that looks like a piece of cheese to go with whiners overall experience.

Since its my first zelos purchase, I am wondering when is expected the bronze version to be shipped ? I hope its here for my birthday in 5th of april :D

Usually around four weeks from the time the order is placed, but that's just an estimated time frame. The regular routine seems like once the next one is ready to go live the launch before will have already started to ship. Best of luck with the delivery and new watch.

Ceramic bezel, 'Space Coral' dial made from a composite of Carbon fiber and Copper.

50 pieces were planned for this run but due to the brittle nature of the dial, only 20 pieces were successful.

My first Zelos. Honestly a bit disappointed when unboxing. The wooden box was awful, the bezel was not exactly inline. But I still like the watch as a whole. After a couple of days of wearing, I do like it more and more. It is comfortable, and a burgundy dial in a diver looks sweet.

In all fairness to Elshan, he did put out a poll in this forum on Tuesday to gather feedback to address the packaging issues.
 
That's why ET shut the original thread and new ones about the boxes down. He did leave the poll open. I don't know why some think social media is a way to address service or a QC issue anyhow. The post will be finished and not long afterwards they are jumped on by others. ET also told the lynch mob that all criticism good or bad is welcome to help make the brand better. This time the box issue was just taking a deep dive for the worst.

I feel everyone has the right to voice concerns, it's just doing it through the proper channels when everything seems to be addressed. It's another story if an issue gets ignored, but that is not the case.

I read another post after the one you referred to and again the box was mentioned. Guess they care as much for the box as the watch!
